A 12 year old girl playing in a movie like this, where's the disturbing part? When are people going to grow up from this morals nonsense and enjoy a good movie based on it's entertainment value instead of comparing it to real life? I'm disgusted by my own species enough already... |

Yeah, thank god they are throwing morals away, it could actually mean that movies get interesting. Morals are the reason we are throwing away money to some poor people in the world which last only temporarily, instead of spending them on something that can benefit the entire human civilazation permamently. This is not the thread to rant like this, but I just have to get stuff like this out of my head, or I'd go crazy.

.......... truth is i see R rated movies all the time but usually i go with my dad. but why would we go waste time on a movie like this.....? blood and gore dont even bother me any more i am so use to it. *imagines* hey dad wanna take me to a movie about this 12 year old girl who gets raped? (dad) son your getting a drug test first thing in the morning. that may not have been your point but why dont you go see it and have fun ok? |

I never go to cinemas, too expensive and not worth it since I have a home theater myself and damn powerful at that. I'll maybe rent/buy the DVD though.

Your reasoning for renting James Bond is originated from the fact that you watched them in cinemas or at home and liked them. The same can be said about this one, if you watch it and like it, you wouldn't ask me why I'd do so as well. |

I see valid points on both sides of the argument. . .But I still don't agree with depicting this kind of act as part of "entertainment", even if it IS just to generate strong negative emotions in the audience to make them connect with the story more. There are other, less obscene ways of making the audience feel emotional sympathy for the carachters, and I'm sure the story in this movie could be done without depicting these kinds of acts. But still, it's not my call as to whether or not they MAKE movies like this. It's just my choice not to patronize them. If they can make money doing it, then good or them. But they aren't going to make money off of me. |
