A Mixture of the current land mine and the Fire Grenade. When the mine is triggered, it blows away flames in a spread, toasting anything around the Fire Mine.

The mines and incendiary grenades are annoying as is... This would be, like, the GOD of annoying weapons!

Maybe you can just add it as a special feature in the current mine...

I think DK mean he cant just run around free with the mines and nades. I however love seting up feilds you have to think about to get through. What I would love is a stick mine I can put on wals and cealings

The BX5 Landmine can already stick to walls, even when the little arms are down it won't fall off a ceiling, so you can set it up on a doorway and it'll leap down at opponents, or behind a pillar in a narrow corridor where it would leap sideways at the victim.

Someone had an idea about a fire grenade which would explode in a contained fireball explosion of sorts, why not have it more or less like that for the fire mine? So instead of tossing fire everywhere, it'd be almost like a grenade made of fire going off. Or the mine could have 2 settings, 1 for fire spam and the other for contained fireball.

Well the BX5's explosion is focused upwards, so I guess it could work.

yeah... when I thought about the idea, ChaosUT's fire mine did pass by... But thats not where I got the idea from.

I'd like a sort of hybrid bomb with multiple flame-related modes. Primary mode lays the mine in whichever mode you have selected (secondary trigger switches modes).

1: Proximity detonated; explodes into flames like the napalm grenade.
2: Laser-trip activated; shoots a huge gout of flamethrower-like flames along the laser's path.
3: Timed mode; sprays the fuel out as a cloud, then ignites it for a big and powerful, but contained, explosion.

For more fun, this bomb should be able to be stuck on opponents, mainly for the third mode (to spread out a bigger cloud of fuel).

Proposal: skrith energy mine.

primary placement would be a highpowered plasma or electrical blast, possibly emp disabling vehicles.

secondary would be a pop up bouncing betty that emits a force blade in a circular radius at about head height, tending to decapitate or dismember the target, if placed correctly.

I'm not so sure that that would fit the skrith.

Skrith didn't even know what mines were the first war, although they might've picked up the idea for the second war.

Not really, just explody... the bodies don't burn from what I remember.

Random idea: could the regular mines be thrown as physics-enabled objects when you're not near a surface, similar to the FP9A5? They'd still have to have a decent delay before arming, of course, but. . .Hmm. . .

Man, that's just way scary... I mean, c'mon, FRISBEE MINES!? WTF!? And it'd be worse if the mine actually STICKS TO YOU.

There's a Disk Grenade in Lost Planet, could have a look at that and make it a usable weapon.

If ya really want to get into it, the current mines ARE vaguely frisbee shaped. The basic idea was that mines that slice and dice you instead of explode would be a different flavor.
