Has this idea been mentioned? I couldn't find anything similar.

I was watching this youtube video of a military RC called SWORDS, and was wondering if that would be a good idea for BW? Idk anything about making a mod, so Idk how difficult it would be to make this. The SWORD is an RC with a machine gun/assault rifle mounted on top w/ 100 round drum mag.

So anyway, the idea is pretty simple. The weapon pickup is an RC with a laptop (to control the RC). When you use it, the laptop is taken out and it'll stand on tripods. You'll use the laptop to control the RC. When controling the RC, the primary fire is using the machine gun/or whatever weapon that is mounted on top. The magazine round for the weapon should only be around 30. And the secondary fire is self-destruct, w/ an explosion radius of 5 feet. The damage from that would be around 1/5 of full health, plus body armor. The RC can sustain damage up to 4-5 shots of the railgun (however many the damage of the railgun is).

The name I'm thinking for this RC weapon is Remote Defender. This would be similar to a mix b/w the Redeemer, the Spider mines, and the grenade launcher. So what are the opinions?

I think this idea could work really well, but it's probably a little bit overpowered... too storng in health!

Not really, if it was an automated sentry it would be overpowered but this one relies on an operator.

Sounds like the RC is pretty tough but the operator can die easily. Simply strike the operator and it wont be so powerful anymore.

Especially since you can take over the RC's controls and use it for your own evil deeds.

BTW, UT2004 already has these. They can be found in AS-RobotFactory and AS-Mothership

Hmm, i didn't know that. Well they should be available for ctf and other modes as well! As for the damage, reduce that to 3 railgun shots. Any lower, and it'll be a weak weapon imo. I don't think it's overpowered since it's slow to move around and slow to rotate the mounted gun. A player should be fast enough to evade the RC, unless they want to get shot at. I never played 007:NF, so idk..
