Weapon Type: Heavy triple-barrelled tankbuster

Ammunition: .550 caliber DU slugs, MT-620 armor-piercing missiles

Firemodes: Single Shot, Triple Shot

Primary Fire: Fires accurate but high-recoil hitscan slugs, loads fresh ammunition after depleting all three barrels. Barrels cycle after each shot to so that users are able to take another two shots if they miss with the first. Very high damage to enemies on foot, high damage to light vehicles and aircraft, medium damage to tanks.

Secondary Fire: Launches a high-speed dumbfire missile from a launcher underneath the main barrel. Must be manually reloaded. Extreme (100+) damage to soft targets, very high damage to all vehicle types.

Special Function: Mount weapon

Ammo Capacity: six-round slug clips, single missiles

Weapon Slot: 8 (Heavy Weapons)

And if you haven't noticed, heavy weapons are something lacking in BW. We've got a million and one pistols, plenty of rifles and enough grenades to put Red Alert 2's Crazy Ivan out of business.

I'll post a backstory for the weapon when I can think one up.

Why not use a single barrel with water or air cooling ( or something like that )? Considering the fire modes it would have to switch barrels verry fast and i just don't see that happening without the gun looking to much like a minigun.

I like it. Big, rotary cannon firing solid slugs and dumb-fire warheads, very nice!

I don't tell it sucks. I say "I don't like revolvers". "Powerful weapons should be rare." "BW is about futury weapons."

Sounds like it would be too heavy to be practical, and 3 barrels would two too many. You're not going to suffer overheating problems unless you're spitting out a lot of rounds in a short amount of time, which I don't think is going to happen with a 12-round magazine.

Speaking of which, a 12-round magazine would be pretty large. I wouldn't give a more powerful (this hing must definitely do more damage than an R78) weapon a larger magazine capacity.

Also, a missile launcher too? That's just excessive.

And we're not exactly lacking in heavy weaponry here. We have a total of seven "heavy" weapons in the mod, most of which are quite effective against vehicles.

Ithas a carrying strap like the XMV while moving, and it's just as chaotic. It's supposed to be a mid-point between the R78, an accurate rifle that's good against infantry, and the HAMR, which I think is far too cumbersome and inaccurate to be useful, not to mention it's big enough to make the minigun look like a pea-shooter. I actually removed the HAMR from my BW settings because it was so impractical. And trust me, this thing will kick up like a mule if you fire it without mounting. I suppose I could half the mag size, though.

By the way, the rockets are loaded in through the barrel, so slow reloads are the order of the day. The reload time of the main weapon should be about the same as the railgun.

Errrm, Shadowdump, how, exactly, did you fix conflict? I can't get it to work. Was there a hotfix I missed or something?

Actually I didn't fix anything,just try not to do anything 'bad'.It's touchy but not impossible.

Isn't this pretty much covered by the railgun? The only real difference is that this has a smaller clip and doesn't require charging.

But people love dublicates.

Not to mention this thing is scopeless, you only have an iron-sights in unmounted mode. It's designed specifically for destroying vehicles, with the chaos this thing generates you'd have to be a very good shot to hit a fast target like another player.

Could the slugs be given a small arc as they are fired out? I have the impression that these would be made to travel straight, and that would make things a little bit "easy". This would make it less like a railgun or the HAMR.

No, they don't arc. I find that the arc on the HAMR kind of killed it. Maybe a longer arc would have been good, but not the equivalent of an instant-hit flak cannon shell. Not to mention this thing generates even more chaos than the minigun, so it's still difficult to aim. The mounting time would be about the same as, if not slightly longer than the minigun mounting time.

How big is the splash damage on the missle, if its armour piercing then it wouldn't have a large explosion, but i like the idea, i love duplicates, its great to have a large choice

Well it all depends on the target. Agaisnt vehicles, there's only a small explosion, but because of the armor-piercing tip it can damage the driver as well. Against unarmored targets, you get your G5-style red/green/light blue mist in the smoke cloud. However, it's quite interesting when it hits the ground or a wall. The outer shell shatters on contact with a dense surface, causing a small explosion but sending white-hot shrapnel flying everywhere. So upon contact with a hard surface it's much like a rocket-propelled fragmentation grenade.
