Hehe Quak2 is sure a great game. The mission pack "The reconing" is great. "Groud Zero" however, I didn't like much, I didn't even finnish it. The light shotgun is so nice weapon. What's really annoying in the game is that most single shot weapons does too close to the same damage. Most enemies needs equal amount of shots from each weapons to die. A gunner needs either: 2 supershotgun shots, 2 rail slugs, 2 rockets, 2 grenades or 2 phalanx (xp weapon) shots. Another weird thing is that 2 shots from the light shotgun is less than 1 shot from the supershot gun in terms of damage. I tried to edit the weapons but it gave really strange effects.

What are you talking about? Railgun does 150, rockets and grenades are 100 + random value, shotgun is 4 per pellet and super shotgun is 6 per pellet.

The weapons are far from being equally powerful. They all have their ammo consumption rate and ammo availability in the levels. Plus they are all unique in look and sound, the reason I like the phalanx is that it is such a badass weapon in every way.

Anyway, I made a mod for the game that makes many SP aspects configurable. I think I uploaded it in a thread in ChitChat a looooong time ago. With that mod you can configure damage of individual guns.

Alright, I'll do one then, later. And probably add in a sawn-off with it. The full over and under will have a bit longer range than the coach gun, just for some functional variety, but the sawn-off will be indentical to the side by side, just wanna throw it in for some aesthetic variety.
