i am a big fan of bw and i love all the unique weapons and how they all have a back story the only thing i did not find awsome in bw was the lack of shirth weapons. i know its hard to make a weapon for bw but i think that the next weapon pack should feature a majorty of skirth/si-fi weapons
i guess im saying this because in a si-fi nerd but the si-fi weapons were the best thing to happen to bw sence it was avalble for download well i have made consept art for 2 skirth weapons
the first one is the skirth energy cannon basicly is a lot like the fuel-rod cannon form halo in that it fires slightly arched and the bolts are explosive
the second one s the skirth sniper rifle
need i say more

1st fire shoots a large bolt of plasma that archs and explodes on contact with any thing exept the air
2nd birngs up retractble scope

the shirth weapons are notorus for being inaccurte and this is an idea to counter that
reg fire: shoots a more narow plasma bolt

2:flips the gun around so you can wack the &*&^* out of them with the pointey thing on the but of the rifle

But yes, the Edit button is your friend. Its in the top right corner of your posts, it looks like a pencil and paper.

The Skrith they abhor ranged combat and prefer stabbing people, so I don't think they would develop a sniper rifle.

I also doubt they would attach any kind of optical scope to their weapons. It just seems wrong.

Normally, yes. But a few sadistic buggers might instead prefer ranged, so a ripjack-esque sniper shooting exploding plasma blades, alternate fire instead causing it to firing plasma blasts on everywhere on impact like an out-of-control-autoturret. Similarly to that Tomahawk hand grenade you made (I think?) that can slash, stab, and be embedded in people to then explode in a wonderful plasma-ey death. See? Still sadistic, maybe attach a nice rotation function so that you can instead chainsaw them to death, and you have a fun new skrith sniper/heavy assault weapon, making it ranged and skrithy at the same time.

Oops. When I said "ranged", I meant "long-ranged". Sorry I wasn't clear enough.

While they definitely love their pointy things, and aren't going to shy away from shooting a guy every so often, I don't think they'll ever snipe at long range with an optical scope. It just seems wrong.

Yeah. Unless, perhaps, the gun shoots spider-droids with cameras, and numerous blades and other stabby-sawwy implements with neuro-links to the player (and as weapons) so they can then and later experience the little things ripping the enemies to shreds. Imagine shooting a few off, then the capsules explode mid-flight and the droids latch onto the nearest enemies, one maybe grabbing onto a head and then ripping a brain (Spine possibly still attached) straight out with some giant claws, another sawing a few limbs off then burrowing into the enemy with a large drill right where he doesn't want to be burrowed into, and finally another latching onto an enemies' back, stabbing neuro-control links into the enemies' arms and legs and causing them to shoot and kill allies, later suicidally exploding if he doesn't die or doesn't kill or attack enemies for a certain time (Or anyone but the player in a non-team game).

Aren't we underestimating the skrith's intelligence here? They may prefer melee combat and short/medium-range, but long-range can come in very handy in big maps.

eeep that sounds fun but i doubt that that would possable as it is a game rom 2004 were taling about

It is the game that prevents such things, not the engine or the year of release.
