here's my gun idea, a Sci-Fi future kinda enegery rifle (sort of like Star Wars rifles but look like a meld of the Sirth & human guns to have a hybrid rifle)! thats good for headshots (cause it shoots faster than the regular sniper rifle) but doesn't have the power for one shot kills , the rifle would be simlply be semi-low to medium damage that can be fired pretty fast but not super fast so that it owns!! than this it's alt fire would be a sheild that last for 10 to 15 seconds (or something else taht Runstorm can think of to balance the time), it would take a while to recharge so it would be good for running to find cover and reloading!! It's special ability would be that either A) the ability would be a charged shot of a 1/4 of the rifles magizine or the ability puts on a scope so that you can snipe at enemies and to use the scope you would press the Iron Sights Key (RuneStorm said they are already putting this in 1.7 so why not?)! by pressing the special ability key again the scope is taken off than if you press the Iron Sights key it would use what the primary Iron Sights of the gun would be!! Its accuracy is a meld between the accaurcy of the M50 rifle and the Sirth rifle!! and the bullet is alomst as fast as the M50 bullet but not as slow as the Sirth rifle projectile!! and the projectile the guns shoots out is a small enegery bullet with a blue-ish green trail the fallows it when its fired kinda like the carbine but with enegry projectiles!

Please RuneStrom this would be a really cool multi-purpose rifle that fits the weapon mod beautifully!

The story behind the rifle is that during intense Sirth/ Human fighting a human general found a Sirth Rifle on the battlefield when the fighting had ended, he took the rifle to the armory where the engineers melded it with their own sniper rifles and M50's, which resulted in the creation of the MPCR-30 (Multi purpose Carbine rifle)!

if Anyone could think up a better name for the gun please do cause mine sucks ***!

I like the idea! I think the weapon and projectiles could be modeled on the MACO pulse rifle from ST Enterprise (god rest its soul...)

The shield could bounce back energy projectiles from the skrith guns and this gun (maybe UT's guns too?) Also it could change color as it gets weaker. Oh and maybe it could have a melee function as well, you know like the shield gun but 2 in 1. If you deploy the shield and it doesn't take hits for a couple of secs it automatically charges up its attack function. Just like with the SG, touching enemies wounds or kills them.

Charged fire bonus function sounds good, scope too. Hard to choose really... Maybe you could have both, or only charged fire in scope mode.

Yeah, this could be a fun & useful weapon.

yeah i when i thought of the idea i knew it was gonna be hard for people to decide between the charged shot or the scope!!

Maybe we don't need another sniper rifle cause their's already two , but i do like the sniper version of the pictures in the second like Redshift!! if the gun would be made to never have a scope than the model would look like the http://www.phasers.net/2150/sniperifle.htm%3Cbr%20/%3E but without the scope!

We need more snipers like a machinegun one. Plus it would be great if a silencer upgrade for the current sniper was made.

yeah make it so that the curret snipers special ability is that it puts on a silencer!

By the way, a new kind of sniper has to be the MACO!
And of course we need the Energy Carbine too, I just can´t quite get an image of it in my mind...*starts thinking*

Bjossi have you ever played Timesplinters 2 or 3? i played that at my friends house on his PS2 they have a Sci-Fi sniper rifle which is what the carbine should sorta look like!

well the rifle was cool!! ah RuneStrom thought up all the other guns so i'm sure they'll be able to think up a model!

I got Timesplitters 2 and 3. One of my favorite series of all time. A good weapon would be the plasma autorifle from Timesplitters 2 (3 just not as cool to me.) It shoots moderately fast at first, but then it begans to get heat, and shoots faster and faster until it overheats and has to vent. No reloading. Alt is plasma grenade that sticks to stuff on contact. Good sum up, Uglypants?

pretty much Dracone!! but minus the plasma grenade and scope and we have a winner, well alomst it's projectile would have to be a energy/bullet small with energy trail effects that aren't too big or flashy!

Mhmm...definitely...I hated how the one in Timpesplitters 2 was so cool but did very low damage. Could hit with every shot before overheating and guy would just barely die.

yeah the Enegry Carbine Rifle is a puck shoot gun that inflicts damage on a low level but because of this it's very accurate , either close or far it has good accuracy , including while your moving or standing!

a kwik-shot energy rifle? thats sounds fairly reasonable:) would be interesting.. not rapid fire, not as powerful as sniper rifles.. hmmm

The gun is about be a cowards worst nightmare since it would have good acuaurcy but doen't fire fast enogh to make it a spam weapon!

Coward´s worst nightmare would be a grenade flying over the head and landing right behind him...
