Anyways, I like the sound of it too. One balloon of hydrogen is enough to create a crater bigger than mount st. Helens, although you need a nuclear explosion to fuse the hydrogen into action; a simple grenade with weaker fuse would also cause a very powerful explosion.

Wouldn't the hydrogen disperse too fast to be effective? You need a fuel with the same density as air, or fuel vapor.

And sorry to say this, but thermobaric grenades have been done (very well) in Resistance: Fall of Man. They even stick to enemies, so you can spread out an even bigger cloud of fuel before igniting it remotely for an even bigger explosion.

The FPX is designed to just be a half-second ball of flame, kinda like an alternative to the frag grenades, though the searing flames do much more damage to troops and it may set them alight. The Pineapple would still be better for anti-vehicle usage, as it is more suited to puncturing tank hulls.

Okay. . .So ONE other game has fuel air explosive grenades. ONE. I think we can do it too without being cheap copiers of other games. I mean, heck, the staple BW weapon is a heavily modded M4/M203.

Using an idea from another game is no problem, ever. But copying design, look, etc.; that is not something we want to do.

Yeah, sorry, didn't mean to get on your case, just didn't seem like a very strong argument against it. Anyways, the idea is still pretty darn unique, and would definetly be fun to use and creative. So thermobaric gets my vote 110%. Also, it's pretty close to the fireball grenade thing that this thread was started about, but with more amusing possibilities in both the use and graphic departments.

I think a Hydrogen Grenade and Fuel Air Grenade would be cool. I have to say though that I love the idea of a signaling grenade that calls in supplies. We need more stuff like that! Or maybe a supply painter.

I know I would use all of them. I especially love the smoke grenades, because the main reason I use the tox grenades is for cover, aside from taking out deployed minigunners.

Yes the toxic cloud is quite hard to see through, and even more so if it had a flashbang attached to it....

I think a flash bang/smokescreen combo would be a pretty good idea. Anyone could generally just back out of a cloud bank, but add the flash and the bang and you got them disoriented on several levels.

I don't think this would be too overpowering either, as you still need enough skill to accurately deploy the grenades, and they don't cause an inevitable doom either.

The smoke animation would have to be sped up and magnified though, it's meant to be able to cover a fair distance, at least a doorway and some of the room.

Oh yes, thee may recommend a big explosion to me.

Miracle, just so you know...I have seen that mut, played with it, and I LOVE IT! I was gonna ask you if i could use the effect for a a map of mine, but just tried for a custom effect...nvm.

You mean the nuke, right? I don't care if you use the effect, it wasn't enough work that I'd object to it.

The Fiesta mutator doesn't do anything yet. It's eventually supposed to let people pick a set of multiple weapons for each weapon base, which then change during the match.
