That one reminds me of the double-barreled coach gun from Serious Sam 1. God I loved that thing.

During ww2 hitlers first step was to disarm the people of germany of firearms, then other countries as they fell under german control. Which meant no one could defend themselves or put up any kind of defense when the nazis came a rollin through. This is one of the reasons switzerland never joined the nazis, their entire populace is required to own at least 1 firearm, mainly because every citizen is a soldier and must be ready at anytime to defend their country, thats one of the reasons switzerland has been around so long, hitler took one look at them and decided not to invade it, because his troops would take extremely terrible losses going into swiss territory. Also why the swiss decide to stay neutral, they keep to themselves and dont bother anyone.

Just because they use them in war and combat doesnt mean their government likes them.

The Uk has some really bad laws concerning ownership of firearms. Thats why im never gonna live there.

they got speed loaders... your hands... they only take 2 rounds, put both in your hand at one time, then feed them into the chambers at 1 time.

If you're really good you could probably put them in both at once... (sarcasm) but you won't with my guns.

A speed loader would piss me off. Because of the way these guns eject used cartridges, if you took one shot and opened the gun to reload, both would eject form the barrels. Even if the speedloader and other cartridge were too heavy to allow this, you would have to take them out anyway so that you could swap the empty cartridge for a new one.

Its much quicker to put 2 cartridges between each finger in your left hand and load it like that.

Yep. But not all models of shotguns eject full shells.

And if that small time that supposively you would be given with a speed loader makes a difference between your life and death, I recommend you to not use break open shotguns.

the ammount of time it takes for someone to discard the speed loader (as far as i know they dont make them for side by sides) you could of already had the gun reloaded and fired in that time.

Just go the Doom 2 route and have them loaded in at the same time. That would be sweet.

Hmm. Apparently they were made for hunting dangerous game in Africa, where a double rifle would be faster than other repeaters of the time. That wouldn't really apply today.

Of course, a double-barreled break-open shotgun would be just as obsolete, so I guess the point is moot.

I have an idea: infuse the bullets with caesium, that way it could cause the following:

-The caesium reacts explosively with the water in the target.

-The caesium reacts with the air in the target and catches fire spontaneously burning with a brilliant sky-blue flame.

-The caesium reacts with the target producing caesium hydroxide the most powerful aqueous base known to man capable of etching glass and eating through flesh and bone.

Then it would be more powerful than the railgun which can be used against tanks. There are limits on how powerful the weapons can be. The rgp limits most hand held weapons and I would say the railgun imits the power for any no explosive weapon. The m290 is just crazy.

I'd say that could be a good explanation for why the Railgun leaves that blue streak and those blue impact marks.

Hhahaah it's not needed an explanation. Ever since we saw a railgun in Quake2 it's forever associated to leave a blue/white spiral in the air. A railgun without it is no railgun simply.

Red Faction didn't go with Q2's railgun concept. Instead came up with something much cooler.

I hate railguns that leave behind brightly-colored trails. It makes no sense. It doesn't even look cool.

Still today I play Q2 from time to time, and I love the look of the blue spiral. I don't know if it's just nostalgia though, I guess I play these old games to escape the exceptionally dull, overused logic in many of today's shooters.
