I'd like to see a gun of this sort for medium-range combat. Not quite far enough for sniper range, not quite close enough shotgun range... but a little further than assault rifle range.

The primary fire would be, of course, a regular fire, which can be either semi-auto or a very quick burst of three fire. And as for the damage, I'm saying three or four shots to the face should be enough to take someone out. (Don't want it to be TOO overpowered)

Just seems like it'd be a very tactical-based weapon, you know :b

And I have NO COPYWRITE over that image, I just want to give you all a basic idea.

That gun looks sexy, I think it will need more characteristics though so it gives me a reason to use it rather than a shotgun or the AR.

There have been tons of ideas for a medium-ranged weapon. I think there are currently plans for a scoped assault rifle in the next update.

The fact that it won't be a total spam cannon, and will take a bit of actual skill to hit somebody with it ;b

Well, there are already weapons like that. I'm talking about unique features that make me want to use that weapon over another, and not because it does more damage.

oh yes it can!!

ut2k4's gun all look different, and do different stuff, but are just all the SAME!! CS:S has guns that do the same stuff, but just all seem different..

Meh. I always thought that BW seemed like it tried not to have anything like they do in CSS, where the differences between weapons in the same class really just boils down to minro differences in rate of fire, damage, accuracy and clip size. I always felt that BW was about making each weapon very unique and fun to use. But you're the developer, so who am I to argue?

we still want to do that as well.. but its just fun to have MANY weapons, with slight differences.. we dont try making it like CS.. but it just cool having a variety, and choosing because u have a certain style or whatever.. :)

but definetly having lots of wierd different weapons, is also really good :D as long as they dont seem the same, like UT's

Damn right! It's more fun if you can choose from a large arsenal of "regular" weapons, like different assault rifles, submachine guns, shotguns, pistols and so on. It's like going to a gun shop, but without any of the real world restrictions. :)

If you want weapons that are all weird and unique, I suggest downloading U4E.

Yes. . .that thing is just creepy. But you have to admit the explosion for it is good looking, though maybe a bit excessive.

ok.. we wanna do both kinds of weapons of course.. like i said though, its nice having shit-loads of weapons to choose from, even standard simple ones :)
