M202A1 Flame Assault Shoulder Weapon

More commonly know as the FLASH rocket launcher. You might remember this sucker from Commando. Here are a couple of websites that explain.

I think this would make an excellent edition to the ballistic weapons pack. Any thoughts?

Well there have been quite a few request for an anti personal RL and this appears to fit the bill

Excellent idea! And of course the RL should have a potentially lethal back blast like the original, crazy fun guaranteed with n00bs & dumb bots...

Oh yeah I remember this thing! They were truly nasty. Add a rocket that brusts into flames on a target and you have some fun. For BW you could have a secondary fire mode spray a gout of flame right out of the launcher. Plus having a nasty back blast would be fun. Dont fire it when your jammed into a corner Kiddies.

The secondary could be to fire all of the rockets at once in a random pattern like the shotgun. I was thinking this could be a super weapon like the minigun will be. This could replace the redemer where ever it may spawn on a map.

Yeah, the redeemer is replaced by the bop gun atm, wich is powerfull too, but not as powerfull as the redeemer.

Hmm I dont know about a super wep. If you make it anti person then it would do small explosion damge then after damage by catching the target on fire and those in a small radius around it. TO be a super wep it would almost have to be able to take out a large area and vechiles to boot with a single shot. I like it as a man to man weapon system more, but that just me.

Edit Nice to see someone else calling the shotpistol the Bop Gun.

I think we've all pretty much agreed that lighter rocket launcher would be good, especially as an anti-personell weapon, and most of the suggestions have been for a multiple-launch weapon. Aright. I like it well enough, even though napalm rockets would kinda bother me a bit. But that's okay, it'll still be awesome.

It would be fun to have a rocket launcher that was low recoil high fire rate with a selector switch. You could sparay and pray snipe or burst fire. Rockets would be small with a small intense explosion with little or no splash damage. You would have to hit your target to get a kill no firing at the feet to dance your target. Add to that they would go a long way and would be a hazard to anybody downrange.

Droping the napalm effect would work or you could have a small tight flame that damages only the target. No scope just an iron or cross sight and rockets would be dumb fire.

A multi ammo light rocket launcher would be even better! !lol

Shrapnel, incendiary & poison (cloud), for example. If all (4?) rockets are fired simultaneously, their combined area damage should be roughly the same as that of single incendiary / poison grenade. If 2 are fired 50% etc. Direct hits do serious, though not necessarily fatal damage. That would keep things reasonably balanced, imo.

it was accaulty in my thread, and i didn't care plus this is more or less a thread about alternative rocket launcher.

Hmm, looking back my idea does seem a bit simple. It looks as if people want more complex weaponry. I do think we're on the same page though. A light, multi-launching, anti-personel weapon is what everyone wants.

Exactly, and I think it'd be a good idea to make both of our ideas. They have similar concept but different functionality.
