Here's another edition of my Crazy Weapon Ideas (which will be abbreviated to CWI from now on). DESCRIPTION: A Chrono-Cannon - a weapon VERY MUCH inspired by Command & Conquer: Red Alert's Chrono-based weaponry. Skrew real-life physics! This is the new way to travel!!!
Primary Fire: The cannon fires a continuous stream of short-ranged Chrono energy that progressively slows down targets until they come to a complete halt. Once they stop moving, the cannon starts to teleport the target's matter into oblivion. This process takes time, so the wielder and target are both open to attack. Another unique feature about this Chrono-stream is that it could stop bullets and other projectiles in mid-flight, giving wielders a slight grace-period for running away from open-fire (finally, an escape from the Rocket Launcher's mortar lock-on!). Fire Modes: 1) As mentioned above - Time-Lag Mode slows down targets and other miscellanious projectiles. 2) This is the other unique feature of the weapon - Time-Acceleration Mode. Instead of firing a Chrono-stream that slows down targets, this fire mode accelerates their movement, making it perfect for advancing the wielder's allies forward. It also accelerates the timers on grenades, making them explode prematurely. Clip Capacity: I... have... no... idea... Please give suggestions!
Secondary Fire: The cannon teleports its wielder to the location pointed by the target cursor. Be warned, though, that this process momentarily stuns the cannon-wielder - the longer the distance travelled, the longer the stun. SPECIAL FIRE: Pressing the Special fire creates a distortion in the time fabric at the targeted point. This distortion can be charged up with the Primary fire to open up a portal, but as all Chrono-based abilities go, the process takes time. The Fire Modes also give different resulting portals: 1. If the distortion is charged up with Time-Lagging Energy, the resulting portal collapses into a vortex which sucks in anything in close-proximity, including the cannon-wielder. This vortex collapses rather quickly, so other players far enough from the vortex may survive the ordeal. 2. If the distortion is charged up with Time-Accelerating Energy, the resulting warp portal may bring forth the cannon-wielder's allies to support him/her in case s/he is outnumbered by enemy forces. For flexibility and tactical use, all allies are prompted if they want to be warped to the cannon-wielder's position once a warp portal is opened. That's that! Short and sweet... |

Sounds cool, but I don't think primary fire should completely stop the victem, it should just slow them down to a crawl so they could still do something. |

Oh, but they can do something while they're stopped. They could still shoot at the cannon-wielder, but their accuracy will be skrewed-up. |

It would still look very different since the ElectroDriver acts nothing like a nail-gun except it shoots low velocity projectiles. |

... Well... that, and the fact that I gave it a complete make-over, so it's practically unrecognizable. But nevertheless, it's still the weapon that was inspired and based from. Anyways, I'm thinking of adding a combination fire for the Chrono-Cannon wherein the wielder overloads the weapon on-purpose to create a Chronal Vortex that sucks in everything around it, including himself... sorta like a suicide weapon. |

That could be interesting. There is so much you could do with a time altering weapon to make it unique. Many of the things wouldn't be incredibly impossible to code, either. |

Sounds like a kind of a black hole generator that I thought of a while ago, the guys thought it was overpowered.
