Guys, I do think that this idea could be worth looking into. I'm thinking something like one of those howitzer guns, except OBVIOUSLY that's too big to be a weapon; something that looks like a rocket launcher, has to be deployed in order to fire, BUT! but when deployed, it can shoot a projectile, about as powerful as the Goliath's tank shell. It would have terrible recoil while deployed, and I don't think you'd be able to fire it while not deployed - but hey, you can always smack 'em with it it's a pretty big gun, the way I imagine it.

Primary fire: Whack people with the cannon shaft.

Secondary fire: Deploy the gun, in which Primary fire becomes simply shooting the projectile.

Special weapon option: (while deployed) I don't know much about this one, but I'm thinking it would be cool if you could change ammo types. Explosive shells? Napalm shells (???) ? It's all there.

I don't know, when I thought of it, it seemed like a good idea. Although, at least the way I describe it, the Railgun pretty much renders this gun useless... Perhaps this thing could have more power?

I know something to aim, would be hard to script though.
This are my ideas:
Like SPMA launch a camera into the air.
Or, like the RPG, in zoom shoot at a distance floor. It will shoot with the right power and angle so it hits your target.

Also I have an idea for Ammo type.
Bouncing shells exploding 5 seconds after inpact on any surface.
Like a big grenade.

It would be kinda hard to kill people with it... but I guess it can do wonders to vehicles.

"tactical nuke" in the US you might as well say "city killer"

Depends on the size of the nuke. There is a site that lets you set your location and the mega/kilo tonnage of the device. A one kiloton device set off on the UN will wreck three city blocks but wont do squat to joggers in central park. To wreck the whole city in one go you would need at least a fifty kilton device.

For the cannon it would have to be a tiny nuke because you have range limitations for the gun. Kinda like the concepect to an atomic hand grenade. Could be done but who has the arm to throw it far enough to be out of the blast.
