when everyones talking about adding new assault riles no ones mentioning how to make these less "more of the same" weapons and more unique really an AK seris asasult rifle is just Stronger slower fireing basic assault rifle and an FN P90 just has a higher (50) round clip and weaker damage (and it's a SMG anyways),but what is there really that would fit assault rifles but not give more the the same? underhand shotguns low mag scopes and bayonets have alreddy been talked about. I'm asking everyone if they can think of a way i to make a new assault rifle that isn't just more of the same. To start I say something like rifle grenades (on timer unless they hit a player or vechile then they go off automaticly) could prove intresting (even if they are n00b sticks in wolf et) or a double barreled rifle that launchs 2 shots (still full auto) at a time or posibly something like the late war versions of the M1 grand that allowed for full auto fire (but still with a very low magazine capacity) with a very high power (don't get me wrong i'd like to see an fn p90 with a tatical flashlight and an AK-103 with a lasersight and underhand shotgun and the less wanted StG 44 based weapon) |

Hmm, I think I know what you mean, but current real assault rifles are more or less the same as other ones, so it is a bit hard to make them unique and based on modern ones. I like your idea for two barrels and stuff, but I think that they should still have the less unique stuff for now (makes them a lot easier to make if they are simple), and later have the more unique weapons. Plus, when they implement an attachment system (which I'm pretty sure they got planned for after 2.0), it should be able to give you plenty of costumization options for your assault rifles. |

a double barrelled AR would be insanely complicated, and bulky and wouldnt really feel right. But I agree we do need more ARs preferably some simple stuff like the AK, P90, and hopefully the FN-2000. As for the M1, I would hope it would not look anything like the relic that it is, it would have to be severely updated in looks to fit BW. After those are done it would be really neat to see more unique weapons, and possibly even that mentioned double barrelled AR if its done right (which RS is more than capable of doing) What would be interesting to see is some sort of weapon that looks like it was cheap, and easy to mass produce, I'm talking an ugly boxy thing that looks like bolted together sheet metal. The reason for something that looks that junky, humans had to move very very quickly to deal with those nasty Skrith and I doubt they had time to make their first mass produced ballistic weapon too pretty and just concentrated on function. Something like the machine guns seen in League of Extraordinary Gentilmen, or the boxy looking ARs from the Doom movie. And why does everyone think adding a barrel to guns makes them better? A triple barrelled shotgun? it's enough to have 2, after that you might as well have a mag, belt or drum fed auto shotgun. Most of the reason that guns have one barrel is function, 1 barrel means one bolt, and other mechanisms to look after and therefore less chance of jamming than 2, it's easyer to clean and repair. |

More guns, you'llget them... We do want to add our cheap mass produced crap weapon. It's called te B1 'Possum' and is well featured in the Archon universe. |

definetly.. we need more assault rifles
with all our various variables, then we can make them behave very diffirently.. and as Xavious said, an attachment sytem would really make things interesting as well
jamming, and overheating would also diversify things nicely.. cheap AR's, aslo good idea.. but basically, we need more simple weapons.. it allows players to pick weapons for their style, etc.. makes things interesting

AR’s: #1 I sight the TimeSplitters: Future Perfect: plasma auto rifle Primary fire- plasma shots that do madam damage, however as the weapon gets hotter it gets faster until right before overheating and going in to auto cool down the shots are almost a solid stream. Secondary fire- scope with some zoom, not much Special fire- melee attack #2 W2- AS 125 “basilisk†|

yeah maybe after 2.0 you devs should think of making some kind of gun upgrade/ attachment system for the guns, like increased ammo, higher damage, less recoil/ incendeary bullets, grande launchers, stuff like that with kills for upgrades or new weapons or kills equalling money for buying parts and weapons and stuff wolud be awesome. Would give BW a nice RPG style though not seeming like an RPG with some cool money stuff in it. please dont put in jamming...unless theres a way to slow down the pace of UT or make it optional it would only be frustrating |

It would more than likely be optional, plus when they go more into Project Archon it isn't going to be as hectic and fast paced as UT2004, in a good way.

lets see.. following 2.0, then we are "free" to do any number of things.. we are basically free to do whatever we want, and the major improvement, will be BW TC type of thing.. we wont abandon the mutator version, but we will also make the TC, which can have various gameplay improvements, like jamming, buying, attachement systems, etc, etc.. 2.0 is taking forever, thanks to various factors.. when its out of the way, then more stuff will happen, including vehicles
