Most of the weapons in Ballistic are recreations of common weapons such as the M16. But I think that some of the more advanced weapons and concepts would be more suitable for a futuristic setting. I'm going to put links to info for some I think would be good here and say how they might be put into game play. XM8 (Lightweight assault rifle) http://world.guns.ru/assault/as61-e.htm I think this in sharpshooter configuration would make a good scoped assault rifle. FN P90 (Submachine gun with armor piercing rounds) http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg13-e.htm This would be an SMG with more recoil and damage, possibly less rate of fire, designed more to be fired in short bursts. XM25 (Grenade launcher) http://world.guns.ru/grenade/gl13-e.htm Would be mostly a more flexible rocket launcher, damage and blast radius decreased, better capacity and rate of fire. XM307 (Automatic grenade launcher) http://world.guns.ru/grenade/gl24-e.htm Would be sort of like an explosive machine gun with less rate of fire and capacity. These guns could be the images to use when making gun models.

It looks surprisingly alike the Assault Rifle from UT2003. |

The P90 is actually a popular model. It's been in quite a few games. In fact it was in Timesplitters. Well, it didn't have same name but looked the same. Cold Winter's another...probably a lot more things. |

Which reminds me, the UT assault rifle with its compact bullpup design and integrated drum nade magazine could be a real world weapon, and a good one at that! Most UT guns are just silly, but the AR actually makes sense. Could take out half a village with one of those... |

Yeah, but Epic made it a pretty useless weapon. :S |

Yeah, though the nades can be pretty deadly, especially in tight spaces. Scored plenty of frags with those in online games... Akimbo primfire ain't too bad either, almost as good as the mini. |

Yeah, but akimbo ARs weren´t in UT2003 if I remember correctly. And Epic even decreased the damage of the ARs in UT2004. |

Yep...I also think they're using the original UT's shock rifle look. |

I hope so because the UT99 weapons looked so great, even today they look and sound better than UT2004's weapons. :S |

I hope it will sound better... The UT99 shock rifle sounded the worst of the rest of guns imo. |

either its atotally new sound or a better sounding one from UT99's shock rifle which i highly doubt! |

I hope a totally new one, the sounds from UT2003/4 lacked all sense of power, they just sounded like a low frequency laser burst... |

Pics are in the links, the one i'm refering to as a scoped assault rifle would be the one in parasniper configuration. |

Yep, a badass gun with powerful sound effects. It ain´t the bass that matters, it´s the boom of the sound, the power. Bass is just to amplify the earthquake a sound makes.

don't worry about sounds for the next version.. most of the problem was my headphones that i was using!! when i did them on real sub speakers, !!!;) imagine the minigun firing at 3000 rpm, spraying bullets at everything, and sounds:evil: imagine the mess... |

Yeah, as the bullets, one by one, leave the superheated barrels, the sound pounds you in the chest like Mike Tyson on steroids. Sounds descriptive, eh?
