It seems everyone is in a grenade mood, and now so am I. Here's why. These are 3 Grenades which i think would suit BW quite nicely. And as Xavious put it, "We have 4 shotguns, I think we can live with a few more grenades" (yes i know its not quite like that but it gets to the point) Stick Grenade (Potato Masher): Taking inspiration from 20th century warfare, the UTC developed the Stick Grenade as a means to help counter the growing Skirth threat and the general discontent in the Out-World colonies. The Stick grenade explodes side-ways more than vertically, make it cut at the chest and knee's of the Skirth or fellow man (why do we fight each other).But don't think for a second to underestimate this weapons for its tactless way of killing, it still can damage the upper chest area or even face in some cases.It takes a few extra seconds to explode, in which time you can try to grab the Stick grenade and proceed to toss it back at the enemy (press Use key) , this is ill advised, though heroic. Once detonated it will cause surrounding to blur if you happen to survive it, and even if you should happen to die from it, your surrounding would still be blurred. Credits to: Deuxhero and Me Sonic Detonator :This would be the most visually impressive grenade to see, It would explode an would have massive tremble (if ye PC has a woofer) .It will explode either on contact with an enemy or 5 seconds after it was thrown. One scenario would be you throw it at the ground run away and a guy runs over it and BOOM, the detonator explodes in a expanding green sphere pushing everyone in it away from it and damaging everyone else. Terrible against armored opponents, cause they are more grounded then those without armor. Would leave a slight amount of blur after being hit. Also if you survive this grenade most likely you'll have been pushed back a little bit because of its kinetic energy. http://media.pc.gamespy.com/media/566/5 ... ids_1.html Its under Grenade Weapons, and its the third one. Credits to: Me and Star Wars Republic Commando (go buy the game so we can get a sequel) NG353 Contact Grenade : Nicknamed 'The Exploder', This grenade is filled with liquid Nitroglycerin. It has a massive explosion that has a large range/area (not as big as the fire grenade) of effect. It would explode with a loud almost whip crack snap of a boom. It is very powerful, don't expect to survive this one. And it WILL leave your surrounding blurred when you die, which you will. It will explode on contact with anything except the dead air around you. Extreme caution must be observed at all times when using this dangerous piece of ordnance. Credits to: Xavious, Bjossi, Me |

The Sonic Detonator is a great idea. I think one thing would make things more interesting, if you are too close to the blast radius, you'll get sucked in and (most likely) killed. But if you aren't close enough, instead you'll receive force impact and get pushed away from the sphere, taking damage in the process. |

You probably haven't seen it happen, because it is fu*king awesome. Seeing a person fly into an expanding explosion is quite the sight. |

That is no natural law, the expanding explosion has nothing to do with you getting pushed away, it is the force generated in the central point. But I like getting sucked into an expanding explosion, it may not be realistic, but then again, everything in BW isn't.

Hmm, how about we compromise, how about the when you activate the special function, it makes it so that the sonic detonators suck you in like you said, if you special function again, it goes back to normal. If you like this i'll add your idea to mine and credit you. |

Optional type of explosion would be unique, good idea.
But you need to add basis for that into the description, what changes in the grenade when you switch between these modes. Plus we should give each one drawback so everyone doesn't jump on the more powerful setting.

I would like something like this Cluster Grenade A unqie type of grenade with unknown orgins, the cluster grenade breaks into 6 seperate grenades upon hiting a target each blowing up with 1/4th the force of a normal grenade, resembels a pipe bomb with a yellow "film real" pattern on the edges and an atmoic symbol on the center |

Also any help from SB or DC would be nice in balancing the two fire modes, since they've had to do it alot. |

How'd I help with the contact grenade?
Anyways, I'm not really crazy about grenades that blow up on contact with players but nothing else, it just makes no sense to me and it takes the challenge out of mastering the grenades... I like the sound of the NG353 Contact Grenade, but I think it could use a bit better nickname.
Sonic grenade sounds cool, too, except for the explode on player contact. Well, at least to me that is. I like the idea of picking up thrown grenades, that would be pretty cool to see for all grenades, actually. |

Well, one could take longer to explode but the other isn't as damaging. Pretty n00bish drawbacks but that's all I can think of. |
