Imagine it... ...the flames... ...the screaming... ...the fact I am disturbed %-6 ...

Just reckoned it may be cool, although it would probably make the FPS go down badly.

Saying this, it probably exists anyway in some mutator online or something
But I don't think air-strikes should be abandoned in BW, whether napalm or not

AND..

Flashbangs anyone? causing blindness and deafness for a while?

yeah, but even that stuff isn't truly released, because Xyx doesn't even attempet to add good textures over the UV, he just makes some and just hopes it looks okay.

Whoa, guys, hold it a bit. Xyx is only a coder (a very good one, in fact). He can't create models or textures. The models are provided by T-Shinzon (that's why their pack is named XS vehicles: Xyx-Shinzon), but he can't texture as well. All texture artists who promised to help them out by skinning one or more vehicles screwed them over or let them down. So, until they'll find a reliable and talented skinner, all vehicles will have placeholder skins.
And as far as the release goes: It is planned that the UT2k4 version of the pack won't be anything more than a beta, the final pack is planned for UT2007 so you guys are partially right: As far as UT2k4 is concerned, the final version will indeed never come out. You'll have to get the next UT installment for that.
Edit: Of course there will be more beta releases before UT2007 comes out, so there's still a lot of nice stuff to come to experiment with. But only against bots, since the other reason why it is a beta (besides the lack of skins) is the nonexistent net support.
Of course it would be a dream come true if Ballistic weapons would fuse with XS, but I know that's extremely unlikely. Too bad, though, because Xyx even mentioned once that he'd love to replace the UT weapons with more tactical ones for XS, but won't find the time to do so.

@topic: Napalm might be cool as a replacement for the target painter. The painter could be replaced with goggles, the bomber that is called in by the signal can be replaced with some kind of Jet and it could release a napalm carpet instead of the usual line of bombs...

That’s too bad I was hoping to get the XS pack before UT2007, oh well guess I’ll have to weight

On Topic: we have gone over this many times it’s about time for someone to get all the suggestions together and make an all in one super weapon thread.

flashbangs.. one of the most discussed, just like the AK.. want a Flash, but not sure when either.. perhaps soon :)

Flash bangs would be a great addition to BW.

Napalm strikes. . .Maybe. I'm kinda partial to regular explosive artillery strikes.

On the topic of napalm, though. . .I regret to inform you that ChaosUT2 has somewhat better flame effects than BW right now. :(

This does not make me happy. Blasted Chaoticdreams, thinking that can outdo RS and get away with it. I say we lynch them.

Well, at the moment, yes. I'm curious how the BW2.0 Flamethrower effects will look like. If it looks good, it should be quite easy to use it for a Napalm airstrike as well. It's good that there are other mods out there that do this or that better, that way you get inspired to aim higher, so to speak. When Shadow and DC finally find the time to create superweapons it will be the same, I hope they'll be able to deliver something as good as the second-to-none nuke effect from Unreal4Ever (or maybe even surpass it).

yeah, but the CUT2 flames lag any PC that plays UT2k4 on low to medium setting, while BW's are still really good, with no lag at all. Though i bet, RS could make amazing flames with no lag.

Probably.

Though, to Doc. Shock, I think I might have to say that the Siege2k4 nuke looks just a tad better than the U4E one. OR maybe I've got that backwards. I think the immense red-glow from the U4E one annoyed me.
