Are you talking about a new gametype for Ballistic Weapons or a new weapon? I'm guessing gametype but i want to be sure. |

In the first post, you mean a virus would possess someone and that person gets more powerful? |

What i mean is a virus possess' them, they turn evil and powerful. |

Oh hang on, had an idea. In the Bioshock trailer, the character you're viewing from (the trailer is in first-person), injects his arm with strange liquid, that mutates his arm and then large hornets erupt from it and attack one of those aqua mech suit guys, and manage to do quite some damage too. The arm healed up once the hornet swarm had left it. Perhaps this could work something like that. BTW this trailer is on the XBL Marketplace. |

sounds good to me, but do you mean they will be evil or something by that idea. |

looks like the virus from resident evil... |

Ok so you mean like its injected like in resident evil, then takes time to turn them, and make them stronger. |

This gives me the idea of organic weapons... |

Really, how would that work out. |

Simple, it would be an organic weapon and function like ome. What else needed to say? |

Good idea, I got just thought of a great way to do this. It could be this big alien gun, that uses nanobots or something as ammo. When you fire, a cartridge is launched that when it hits, has an effect on the person and possible the shooter. Firemode A: Virus Primary: Fire a rocket propelled cartridge of things that infect your enemies blood. It releases a virus that damages (5 points every second?). It can be cured with health restoring things. (eg. vials) Secondary: Fire a cartridge that acts like a grenade (not rocket propelled), which explodes on contact with an object. When it explodes, it infects all people in a medium radius around the grenade. Does less damage than primary fire (3?). Also cured with health restoratives. Firemode B: Blood Duplicator Primary: Fires a rocket propelled cartridge that travels at half the speed of the virus cartridge. Duplicates healthy blood inside the victim and sends to the gun, which transfers to the user (2 points per second?). Secondary: Fires a rocket propelled cartridge that travels at half the speed of the virus cartridge. Duplicates healthy blood inside the victim and sends to the gun, and stores it. Slowly gives ammo (Half per second?). Special Option - Vampire Virus: Fires a rocket propelled cartridge that travels at a quarter of the speed of the virus cartridge. Hurts victim and heals shooter. (4 points of damage and 2 points of healing per second?) Uses more ammo than other firemodes (10?) Max ammo could be something like 20 with 10 ammo per pack. And I just thought of a name: CVL150 Multi-Purpose Gun |

That is a little off of what i was thinking of. I was thinking you would still look the same but you'd be evil and be way stronger or something from being possessed. |

Like a Bio rifle, minus the bottom part of it. Ammo is held in the center thing. Darker, and bigger. Sorta like that? |

I uh dont know what a bio rifle is. is it like a regular one kinda. |

For an organic weapon I was just thinking of a weird looking gun made of organic material that creates very acidic liquid by using chemicals from the atmosphere (infinite ammo) and you can spray it at enemies. |

That could work, maybe a weapon made out of the flesh of dead things that runs on energy that can be recharged with a button? |

Dead cells are useless Joseph... The weapon needs to be alive, and it keeps itself alive by absorbing chemicals for the atmosphere. |

Necromancers anyone?
Now that I think about it, didnt Unreal 2 have an alien gun which was like that? But anyway, no one has commented on my idea. o.O Like it? Hate it? |

Your idea sounds a little too much like the toxic grenade to me. I expect a virus gun to do more than just direct damage, like slower running speed, blurry vision, etc. |
|

| Post subject: | new enemy |
Maybe it could cause blurred vision for a minute, if possible; ghosting? That would be cool. Another thing could be that maybe it could cause you damage if you run. I just thought of another thing, being able to do all this could be overpowered. Maybe it could cause the infected person to regenerate armor until death, making you think harder before shooting. I will continue to brainstorm...sometimes I actually get good ideas.

Why would the infected person regenerate armor?

wouldnt a better idea be taking armor away until they die. like it jumps down or slowly goes down. besides the idea was something that made them turn on the allies and become real strong while they do. |

But I mean wouldn't it kinda be overpowered? |
|
| Author: | Wrath [ Thu Apr 05, 2007 5:56 pm ] |

wouldnt something like your saying just making it harder to kill someone thats infected with it. the point was just them to turn on their allies not become hard to kill. |

Why turn on his allies? They respawn anyways. Plus this wouldn't work on anyone but AI. |
