:lol: wouldnt a bat be a weird weapon. especially a bat with barbed wire wrapped around it or a foam covered one... just envision your babe ruth and your opponent's head is a baseball and your squaring for a record-breaking out-of-the-park homerun... but its probably gonna have 'recoil' since if you want to kill someone with a bat you swing like crazy and its pretty hard to regain control if you miss... and its gonna be stronger than the other 3 melee weapons but is the slowest. but this is probably to 'primitive' for BW since its like a simpler version of a mace and a bat is probably considered a 'weapon for the knuckle-dragging humans of the 21st century' in UT.

Wouldn't a high-tech club be a better idea than a baseball bat? What about super-heated nails that will also make burning wounds on the enemy?

I like the idea of a beating melee weapon just for completeness even if it's not my style. We should have at least one blunt weapon, but I'm not sure a bat is the way to go; there are other options that would probably have more mass appeal. (pun intended) I vote mace over bat. That's to say nothing of the huge variety of other options you could think up from lead pipe to warhammer. :sick:

we were already thinking of a 2x4!!:) but there will probably be a melle weapon in the next big release
