CEGL – Coiled Energy Grenade Launcher - This takes the Coiled energy, and turns it into a medium sized orb, than spits it out, lobbing it a fare distance away. The Skrith tried for just grenades, but found that at the current time, CE technology isn’t able to get any smaller without reducing the efficiency and overall product. So the Coils remain on the launcher. The grenade is characterized by a long blue/green and white tail trail when traveling toward its target, it DOES stick to objects and enemies. - Lets say, after the CEGL was finished by Skrith engineers, Skrith warriors didn't accept it as a preferred weapon, almost all of them frowned upon it, since they all preferred stealth over ranged. And so they gave it to Skrith field commanders (who only used them for they led the (Skrith side) massive engagements fought with the Terrans and so couldn’t use stealth), and Cryons soldiers, to soften up emplaced Terran soldiers and generally have fun and kill Terrans with it. So the CEGL was fully adopted and adapted into the Cryon workforce, with many new Cryons grown with attached CEGLs. - On a Terran controlled OutWorld planet, there was a installation, and this installation was able to control/change the environment of the planet. During a major Cryon offensive, the Terran stronghold/defense point was barraged by coil grenade equipped Cryons. On any other planet, the Cryons would have an almost precise shot with it, having the flight path of the grenade programmed into them, but somehow the gravity/air resistance altered drastically many times during the offensive, rendering their programming obsolete and giving the Terrans a chance to kill the confused Cryons before they had a chance to recalibrate their programming. - Cryons have had much fun launching volley after volley of CEG’s at helpless Terrans soldiers, sticking multiple grenades to them, and then enjoying the blood seep into the ground and limbs being torn off. Modes/Keys - Primary fire; is a charge that held for 1 to 4 seconds creates the Coiled Energy grenade, releasing it fires the grenade. Damage depends on how long it’s charged for. You charge then fire the grenade, then charge and fire, then reload and repeat... unless your in you put the special function on (see below) .Like 2 seconds of charge isn't as powerful of 4 seconds, thats a given. - Alt fire; is a timer of sorts, Like the grenade cook timers, this happens as well. The proximity feature is turned off when alt fire is activated, for it explodes after then bar goes down to nothing. Though if it hasn’t been cooked for a long enough time, it can attach to a person or wall then exploding almost right after. - Weapons fire Mode; controls the distance just like the (pineapple) grenade’s weapon fire mode does, namely short or long distance when fired. Also can dictate how long before the grenade will explode upon coming to a stop or if it shall explode upon impact (like the M50 grenade). When shown in game, it should look something like this when flipping through the different setups; Short + 2, Long + 2, , Short + Impact, Long + Impact. - 2nd Special Function Key (previously Dual wield);Will either turn the Proximity detector on or off. On:If it hits the ground or wall it will stick and waits for 10 seconds or so, then explodes if nothing trips it or if someone walks into its area, it explodes. If it’s flying toward someone it will explode just in front of them. Namely when on, it negates the explode timer set on the Weapons Fire Mode and has an active proximity detector on. Off: It will obey the rules of the Weapons fire Mode. It is on this to begin with. - Special Function Key; during testing, some (almost none) Skrith warriors and (all) Cryons alike wished for another way to fire the weapon. This switch switches it so you can charge both grenades at the same time, when charging it will take about 1.85x (x is normal fire charge time), it is longer compared to normal charge, but your able to fire the two one after the other, the second one is fired a little less than a second after the first is launched. Key Features - Proximity; If it lands on a right near a guy it will explode, if when fired it goes to a guy, it will explode just before hitting the guy due to the proximity being on. If lands it will wait for 10 seconds (or less maybe) for something to cross its invisible detection circle and if nothing does, it shall either explode or loose all the energy around it and if walked over, will get added to the user’s ammo of Coiled Energy Grenade Launcher. - Ammunition; The ammo as stated before is small, paired orbs, each fired after the other, well at least the pair are fired after each other, though in cases where you have only 1 orb left you can reload just the 1 into the CEGL. For the energy, that’s no pickup, since Cryon and Skrith have figured a way to get reoccurring energy to flow back into the CEGL, though launching 4 grenades all near full charge will deplete power for a while, recharging isn’t fast, though it isn’t terribly slow, its slower than the Skrith sidearm I think. Ammo pickup might be 6 grenades. - Orbs; The really cool thing about this weapon is that when you charge 1 grenade, you end up charging the second one, so after firing the first one, you can fire the second fully charged grenade a second later (if you fully charged the first one). Ammo is a small orb that is loaded in groups of two, so after shooting twice you must slap in another pair. When the orb is charged, the Coiled Energy attaches dense energy onto the orb, tripling or sometimes quadrupling its original size and giving its outside stick so it is able to attach to objects. - The grenade will explode on a enemy after 2 seconds after its landed on them, if its on that fire mode when launched. - The Coiled Energy Grenade Launcher shoots with a mainly straight firing trajectory, not much of arch a bit more of an arch when fire in long, but barely noticeable. They simply gave the weapon to the Cryons to use instead. Maybe 4 Skrith have actually used the CEGL in combat, its pretty much a Cryon weapon now, though its of pure Skrith ancestry. Skrith warriors hated it for it was against there stealth preferences. So the Cryons now enjoy caring the CEGL into battle, not caring for stealth tactics. I'm glad to see a positive response. I can't wait on what the devs think of it. |

DK is right. The first skrith war, Skrith were on the frontlines and numerous in amounts. After taking a butt kicking after the reversion to Ballistic weapons, they realizied those tactics don't work to great. They then went back to stealth and in lesser numbers. |

I've updated the CEGL, it now uses the proximity feature better, by using the dual wield key instead of just randomly being there. Also Special has been changed along with Weapons Fire mode. i highly suggest looking into it. |

I would advise using the 2nd Special Function key for something, so you can still whip out two SMGS at a drop of a hat. |

Hmm, true. I just thought using dual key for 2nd would be better since most people won't use the 2nd special function key. Guess i could change it. Show of hands... who wants it changed? |
