This weapon is a heavy energy weapon, designed to be used against powerfull hostiles and hordes of enemies. It has two firing pods infront of the gun, both connected to the same energy supply. The energy cell is the ammo pack, which needs to be replaced in order to fire again. Each Energy Cell contains 20 Energy Units. Primairy Fire. Description: When the primairy fire is triggered, the Enhanced Beam Rifle fires a weaker beam from one of the firing pods using relative small amounts of energy. First, one firing pod fires a beam, than the other. The Primairy fire mode is usefull against multiple hostile targets. This beam can go right trough enemy's when they are killed. They can also go right trough walls, not as far as the railgun but further than bullets. The Secundairy Fire goes further trough walls. Damage: 15 each beam. Refire rate: 4 beams each second. Recoil: Very small. (energy weapon) Ammo useage: 1 Energy Unit. Secundairy Fire. Description: Fires all energy in the Energy Cell at once. This requires both firing pods to fire a beam. This laser Beam is extremely strong, doing 300 damage at anything it hits. After hitting a target, it goes right trough it capable of hitting another. This weapon cannot go trough so many walls as the RailGun, but can go further than bullets. Charge time to full: 6 seconds. Damage: 300 Recoil: Alot (compared to energy weapons, that is) Ammo usage: 20 Energy Units (all of it) Special fire regens your ammo. When you are regenerating ammo, you will need to deploy the gun to harvest energy. You can leave your gun to recharge and return to use it again. Your weapon can OVERCHARGE itself, making it go in a boom. So keep an eye out for your gun. Everyone is able to steal your charging gun aswell. It takes a moment to deploy your gun and take it off aswell. You can zoom with the Enhanced Beam Rifle. I made it up as I wrote it. |

Hmm sounds like the shock rifle with more emphasis on the beam. A weapon with virtually no recoil would be welcome addition in my books, it would offer some tactical advantages over bullet rifles. Plus we definetly need more energy weapons. Keep it up the good work
Secondary fire sounds a bit tired however, ("Hold down to charge up" is used alot) what about a death ray? |

isn't a death ray short for instangib beam. |

An instagib beam is exactly what the ZaP's secondary fire currently is. By death ray I was thinking more along the lines of a special variety of link beam. But its up to Bulska |

I've always been greatly annoyed by constant firing laser beams like the linkgun. And the primairy fire gets close to it. The secundairy fire, charging up wouldn't be too original. I know something... Just press the button and ZaP!! Big laser, uses up all ammo, but can kill someone in 1 shot and vehicles wouldn't stand to much chance against it. |

Actualy that is quite close to what I had in mind for a deathray My initial thought went like this: Once you have enough ammo you tap secondary fire only once, and most of your ammo is immediatly drained. The weapon hums and buzzes for a few seconds then WHAM a massive blinding beam comes out that lasts for about 4 seconds then stops. A direct hit held for the whole 4 seconds should do 800 damage, enough to wipe out a tank. Thats 200 damage a second! Anything with 100 health will be vaporised by this weapon. The drawback is that it is hard to aim. (Think: maxed out fire hose) So either you hit and get a kill or you miss and waste all your ammo. Another idea for you secondary fire could be a type of grenade. PS: The link gun is not a laser. |
