UTC R45 'Ranger' Class rifle Background info: The first semi-auto rifles were used in the second world war, to great effect, then humanity decided that assault rifles should be semi-auto, so the rifle was lost to time, became only the snipers weapon... even then it wasn't fun, cause you needed a spotter. Bolt action were used before the first world war, and have to been forgotten and left for the humble 'camper'... until now. With the massive offensive launched by Skrith, Cryon and Krao armies, mainly on hilly forested mining outworld colonies, the UTC High Command requested a new breed of ballistic gun to be used for medium to long range combat. And so the Ranger and Avarice rifles were created. The Ranger looks like a bolt action rifle, but it isn't, high command insisted on a special rifle, this special rifle the Ranger class, is the first of its kind. It can fire in either semi-auto or bolt action. The R45 fires a bullet a bit bigger than the M50, and so it packs a bit more punch. Yet the designers fiddled around with it and created a semi-auto rifle that doesn't have a ton of kickback when being fired/ Colorings are dulled out chrome gray on the gun, with hints of black metal parts on it. Primary: Fires bullet in semi-auto or in bolt action, depending on what setting was chosen in Weapons Fire Mode Key. Damage: Semi auto: Usually takes 2 to 5 shots to kill. Bolt action takes usually 2 to 3 shots. Both are 100 health stats. Shots to the head will very likely give 1 shot kills on bolt action mode and 1 or 3 shots to the head with the semi-auto should do. (RS can deal with damage figures) Alt Fire: Brings up the iron sights of the gun. Weapons Fire mode: Lets you choose between Semi-auto (like the M1 Garand) or Bolt action mode (Like the Lee-Enfield). Semi-auto is fast and weak to medium weak, able to get more shots out in a set time than bolt action, though the bullet doesn't do as much damage in semi-auto when compared to in bolt action mode. In Bold-Action mode is medium (speed) and medium-strong in power, the R45 behaves like bolt action rifles do, though it takes longer to fire off 5 round in bolt action mode than in semi-auto, the bullet also packs more punch, for when in bolt action mode. Clip size: 8 rounds per magazine. Ammo: Total ammo would be 80 (8 in the mag inside the gun and 72 in carry ammo) UTC R5A5 'Avarice' Class Sniper Rifle Background: Like the big brother so to speak for the R45, the Avarice Sniper Rifle is more powerful then the Ranger and packs a punch to dislodge any pesky Skrith's head from his body. Using composite metals and other goodies, High command engineers created one of the best sniper rifles out there. Using the same technology as the Ranger, the Avarice is a beast you don't want to mess with. Semi-auto is a tad faster for the R5A5 then the R45 and bolt action is just more powerful. Coloring is a overall black with silver and tiny bits of red on the LED's Primary Fire: Simply enough, it fires the bullet, whether in bolt action or semi-auto mode. Damage: Semi-Auto: 2 to 3 hits. Bolt action: Usually 1 to 3 hits. Both figures are at 100 health stats. Shots to the head will very likely give 1 shot kills on bolt action mode and 1 or 2 shots to the head with the semi-auto should do. (RS can deal with damage figures) Alt Fire: Brings up the scope of the rifle, the rifle has 3 zooms, 2x, 5x and 10x (or whatever the far zoom of the R7 sniper rifle is minus a tad) zoom. When you enter scope mode its on 2x, presses it again and it goes to 5x, pressing it again puts it to 10x, pressing it again drops you could of scope mode. Special Function: Gets you out of scope mode fast without having to go through the 3 zoom modes to get out of scope mode. Weapons Fire Mode: Lets you choose between Semi-auto (like the M1 Garand) or Bolt action mode (Like the Lee-Enfield). Semi-auto is fast and medium-weak to medium power, able to get more shots out in a set time than bolt action, though the bullet doesn't do as much damage in semi-auto when compared to in bolt action mode. In Bold-Action mode is medium-strong to strong the R5A5 behaves like bolt action rifles do, though it takes longer to fire off 5 round in bolt action mode than in semi-auto, the bullet also packs more punch, for when in bolt action mode. Clip size: 6 rounds per magazine. Ammo: Total ammo would be 48 (6 in the mag inside the gun and 42 in carry ammo) Comments? |

I love the sound of these!
There just isn't enough rifles for BW and these two would be a welcome addition.

Hmmm... I hope they just simply missed this thread, because these are something that really belong in BW. The only rifles available are the M50, the SRS900, and the R78. 3 Just doesn't seem like enough, and these rifles not only would help fill that gap, they are just plain awesome guns. I hope at least the RS guys are interested in these, be a nice addition to that simple weapon pack. |

I fully had in mind for these guns to fill certain gaps. The biggest one being that plain old rifles aren't loved now a days. So it got me thinking, since BW takes place in the 22nd (2150), why not have a new type of rifle that is just starting to show up. The Ranger and Avarice are those rifles. The Ranger is like a good M50, but more stopping power per bullet and the Avarice is just a great sniper rifle for situations where say alot of guys are running at you, you switch to semi-auto and bang, bang, bang, you empety the clip and a few guys get injured or killed. Same with bolt action, if you prefer a slightly better shot after shot after shot. |
