A possible and simple weapon idea, based on a concept of a WWII rifle. Essentially a R78, without the scope and a few attachments. This can get a muzzle attached grenade from the Pineapples in your inventory. Secondary toggles a laser. It is also semi-automatic, so it isn't just a recreation of the rifle without a scope. Primary: Fires a bullet. Secondary: Toggles laser. Teritary (Special): Places grenade on the end (Primary shoots it off) Switch Fire: TBD Ironsights: Normal Ironsights. |

Garand + rifle grenades = fun Make the secondary a bayonet thrust instead and you have a winner

Why do that, then you wouldn't be able to have the grenades. It should also come with 2 grenades already with it upon pickup and maybe the ammo packs include 1 grenade or more. That makes more sense, and i guess if you have pineapple grenades with you u could use them as well. Alt should be arm and fire the pineapple's attached to it, and special should be laser. Overall, i love this idea, i'm all for semi auto rifles, and so is SB from what he's told me. |

Yeah, I realized afterwards that a Bayonet would be better fitting for the rifle. But also, if possible, mabye the switching fire button could swap between the rifle, and the grenades. Primary: Fires A Bullet (Grenade) Secondary: Bayonet stab Teritary (Special): Toggles laser Switch Fire Mode: Places/Removes grenade on the end of gun. Ironsights: Normal sights. Sounds better? As for UP's grenade idea, would that give you two grenades to use as normal, or only for the rifle? |

Well i'd just give you an optional means of firing more grenades, but having some as a pickup with the ammo (think like the M50 ammo bullets and grenades). Cause maybe on some maps you don't get grenades (bio gun) so your left with none, so this way you at least get something. Dakatsu wrote: Primary: Fires A Bullet (Grenade)
Secondary: Bayonet stab Teritary (Special): Toggles laser Switch Fire Mode: Places/Removes grenade on the end of gun. Ironsights: Normal sights. Sounds better? Yes it does sound alot better. The bayonet would have to be below the gun, not just below but have a hang of an inch. Also, SB has said that he hopes to make a M1 Garand styled rifle for BW (namely semiauto) and as he said its extremly likely it will be made. So if you even want to hope for this rifle to come out and be different, you might as well keep it bolt action like the sniper version is, just less kick back. Trust me, its a good idea, the combo of bolt action, bayonet and grenade lobbing will make this gun great. |

I should keep it bolt-action!!! YES! I originally wanted it to still be bolt action, but thought it would be too close to the original! |

Don't know about anyone else, but I'd like it if the rifle grenades didn't arc in flight...most of the maps in UT don't have the space for grenades to be doing that, and you could have the usual cooking timer for the grenade to ensure they don't fly forever in the larger maps |

Awesome. I think it would only arc a bit if you angle the grenade when you fire it. It works quite well in Day of Defeat Source. |
