Post subject:  CWI - Micro-Missile Battery

DESCRIPTION:
A man-portable battery unit that launches homing Flechettes. Unlike regular missiles, these Flechettes only explode upon impact against VERY DENSE objects, such as concrete or titanium alloy. Estimated flight-time of a Flechette is 5 seconds, after which it explodes.

PRIME:
Fires a round of 12 homing Flechettes. The battery will only fire if a tracking device has been set-up.

SECOND:
Fires a tracking dart at an intended target - if the dart is fired on a very dense object (walls, floor, etc.), it will only get destroyed. The dart's internal battery can only last 14-15 seconds until it is rendered inactive. The wielder can also fire up to 5 darts on multiple enemies, making the Flechettes pass thought all of the targets. If there are more than 5 targets, the Flechettes will go haywire.

SPECIAL:
Fires a shell that travels in an arc. Once it makes impact, it unleashes 12 Flechettes that swarm the impact-zone. This mode is called, "Protecting the Hive" as it mimics how Drone Bees swarm their nest when threatened. If the Special Fire is pressed again while a shell is in mid-flight, the shell explodes and the Flechettes swarm the airspace.

AMMO:
One shell contains 12 homing Flechettes. Each Ammo-Pack has two Shells. The Battery can only load one shell at a time, so it has to be reloaded after each shot.

FIRE-MODES:
Switches between two fire-modes...

-Normal: Flechettes have a very fast velocity, but also burns fuel faster.

-Fuel-Economy: Flechettes fly slower, but conserve fuel, almost doubling their flight-time.

Yay for the pepperpot! That weapon inspired one of my weapon ideas too.

I like how the rockets can travel through people and onto the next marked target. Thats something new.

Or at least I think thats what you mean.

When they hit a wall do they release much of an explosion?

Also I take it they need an active dart in order to home in on things, they cant do it automatically. Am I right?

Yep... yep (but their explosion is just a very small *POOF~!!!*)... and yep...

Cool idea. I love the person penetrating property of it, makes it rather unique and adds quite a bit of possibility. 8)

One thing that I haven't thought of is if the Flechettes kill the primary target first before going for the next OR they just pass through all targets in a single fly-by...

Make them fly through all targets.

This allows double kills.
