The KWC MAW Story The KWC MAW ( Modular Assault Weapon) "Skrith Eater" is an older design that was recently renovated by the KWC. Designed by Eugene Rockwell as the MARS weapon system in the early 2100's, it was abandoned in favor of the M50 and M353 weapons. An excellent and rugged design, the KWC took it and thoroughly modernized it, making an overall more useful weapon. It is now an alternative to these weapons used by spec ops units who can only take limited weapons into the field. (This story is totally not based on the Stoner LMG by KAC) Summary An assault rifle at heart, this is a weapon that functions as a close ranged carbine, a mid range assault rifle, a long range battle rifle, and as an Light Machine Gun. Primary Fire Fires a bullet. Damage dependent on current weapon style. Secondary Fire Dependent on configuration; see Special Carbine: Stab with Bayonet; does damage like the Fifty-9's Assault Rifle: Fire under-barrel Shotgun; similar in damage and spread to one barrel of the MRT6. Battle Rifle: Use Scope; zoom like the SRS900 LMG: deploy Bipod Special Special 1: Change weapon one step (from Carbine to AR to BR to LMG back to Carbine). Changes take about 5 seconds to remove barrel and attachment (2 for Carbine) and 5 seconds to replace barrel and add extra part, like the Shotgun, the Scope, and the larger box of ammo (bipod on LMG form is inherent to the barrel) If clicked twice rapidly, shows which weapon it will change to; click again to select next weapon until you get the desired weapon. - Carbine: Used like a short weapon (no point blank weapon shifting), has a bayonet that is too short to be used with the other barrels, and is stored in a hidden slot below the barrel. Does least damage with primary fire, and has the worst recoil absorption, but allows the fastest movement and has the least movement chaos. - Assault rifle: Medium length barrel, medium chaos, mediujm speed, medium recoil. Underbarrel shotgun has high recoil, and is pump action. - Battle Rifle: long barrel, high chaos, medium speed, medium recoil. Does the most damage per shot. - LMG: heavy barrel, high chaos, slowest run speed, high recoil. Has very low recoil when deployed. Special 2: quick change back to Carbine mode (takes apart weapon, and then puts it back together7$&. Fire Mode and Ammo All forms have the same three fire mode: Auto, Burst, and Semiauto. The gun proper uses it's own 30 round clips, except for the LMG, which uses 75 round clips. The maximum of the primary ammo is 150 out of the gun. The Shotgun can hold up to 4 rounds, and uses the normal 12 guage ammo. This is a combination of several ideas that I've seen on the boards, notably the CYLO and the Super Rifle, combined with some of my own ideas. |

A weapon like this would kinda make several of the weapons useless. Why lug an assault rifle, machine gun, and sniper when you can just tote one of these? |

This is one of those "swiss army knife guns". Be careful with such ideas. Guns that are capable of doing everything must not do everything particulary well if you want it to be nicely balanced. |

Yoke got it right. This gun is worse at close combat than the 50-9 (can't be dual wielded), a slightly worse AR than the M-50 (should do a bit less damage and a bit higher rate of fire), a worse BR than the SRS (lower damage per shot, more recoil), and a worse LMG than the M353. However, it would be useful in Loadout, where you have a very limited weapon choice. Also, it should take quite a bit longer to change this weapon into the weapon needed than to simply switch to a SMG or AR. |

I like this idea. Reminds me of the XM8.... loved that gun. But yeah.... I remember it really takes like 2 minutes to change in real life one of the XM8's to it's other variants (to and from), but hey, make it not such a bad time right? heh |

Be cool if it was a few separate weapons. Yeah, it does remind me of those XM8's that i wanted to sponsor... still waiting on that. |
