First things firsts, the Flashlight on the Tactical shotgun, is spiffy. I love running around with that thing, and pwning a noob with a tazer blow.

But, a mapmaker made a obscenly dark map, and I was surly disipointed on how...dim the light really worked. So first things firsts, make it brighter!

2. Give the AM67 specail function, to act as a flashlight! :D

3. Make a flash light, going in with the other 'tool' ideas. It should be really bright, and dual weildable with a pistol. Even cross your arms like your suppose to do! :D

That would make for an interesting weapon I think. Take an ordinary Maglite, reinforce it, add a tazer at the end, and you've got a good melee weapon to add to your arsenal. Dual-wielding it with pistols would be kick-ass.

However, I think a flashlight really would be of limited usage. There aren't that many dark maps.

As for the flashlight on the MRS138, I don't think it actually lights anything up. It seems to just add a bluish-white texture to whatever it's pointed at.

I find it makes for a very good shotgun laser-sight. If you can see the pattern on the guy, fire away. If you can't you're too far away.

Well, I know a couple of map makers, and they want to make a PITCH black map, with no light whatsoever, so it would be reaally handy.

Yeah I know what you mean, are you talking about that Silent Hill Themed VCTF map?
I also noticed it barely makes a difference from a couple feet away on dark maps.

Those maps tend to not use a lack of light to the map, they tend to use FOG to make for little light. The best idea is to get the NVG mutator. Night Vission Goggles. These actually IGNORE fog, so you can see in the fog of war. Thing is.... it limits your view a bunch on a circle, where it has a black texture to cover a lot of your screen.

I have a map that would be great for a flashlight (since it works with the MRS138) since I don't use fog to make for a hard to see area. But the AM67 having a flashlight? That was my second idea for a tertiary after I realized lasers aren't exactly good ideas anymore on my guns! The AM67-DC4 is my 4th weapon on my list (M806, M50, RS8 first, done with M806 and M50 for now)

If the mapmakers really wanted to they could probably just make a modified version of the AM67 for the map and hard code it in.All they would have to do is copy the code from a brighter Tactical Shotgun's Special Function and replace the AM67 Flash with it.They could call the Special AM67 something like Tactical Recon Pistol.Is it just going to be a server map or is it going to be released?

That would require, building it so people wouldnt get "Server Mismatch" errors. Also, it would require hard coding which adds file size, which needs to be avoided.

Just wait for my AM67 mod! I can release it separate from the rest of my Black Market Weapons BW2.0 mod if you guys want so you can have just that AM67-DC4 for maps!

Yeah, I guess your right.I forgot about mismatches and file sizes.Well Adam's mod sounds promising, I would invest in that,in a madder of speaking of course.
