So, this is my variant of plasma weapon. UHPR-1 Universal Heavy Plasma Rifle - 1 General Description, History. Spesial forses needed a multi-purpose weapon, useful in any situation. It will allow not to take a lot of weapons with them. But standart kinetic weapons can't be really universal. Plasma technologies were the variant. After several unsuccessful tests (last one left a small but deep crater) such weapon was developed. It was called UHPR - 1. Form, appearance. Weapon is rather big and heavy. Has a bag with battaries and generator (like Railgun). 2 barrels. One is for shooting, another is shorter but bigger, with shield generator. Can be mounted like minigun, but faster. Has a sniper sight. Firetypes. 1) Rapid-firing. A73-like projectives. Only a bit bigger recoil. Same damage to vehicles and infanty. 2) Amplifyed antivehicle. Slow firerates, not so fast projective, very low blast radius, hight damage (may be 200, but should be balansed). 3) Amplifyed antyinfantry. Slow firerates, a bit faster projective, very hight blast radius (1,25 or 1,5 bigger, then grenade has), 250 damage to peaple, 100 - to vehicles. 4) Sniper. Using instant beam to hit the target. Damage like the standart sniper rifle. Can easlly burn through walls and other objects. Weapon special. This key will make weapon to charge it's batteries. Full charge will take 4-5 seconds and eat your ammo (not all, of course). It is important, that you will still need ammo to fire, even with full battaries. When the w. s. key is pressed, battaries are charging. If weapon is unmounted, you can't overcharge it, so there is no risk. When you'll depress it - they will stop. 1st firetype will use a bit of charge for every shot, increasing damage by 25%-50%. 2nd-4th firetypes will use all of stored energy, full charge will make them 300% more powerfull. Firetype 3 will also increase its blast radius. Mounting. When weapon is mounted, firerate and damage is increased buy 25%. Weapon special will activate a Paladin-like plasma shield. This shield can collect any energy and store it in weapons battaries. When shield isn't damaged they are charging a bit faster, then normal, but ammo using is also faster. You can store 3 times more energy in mounted variant and you will be able to fire three 2nd-4th firetype projectives, every 300% more powerfull (like the standart charging). If batteries will be overloaded, they wil make a good BOOOM, throwing your pieces away. Battaries can store energy from hits with total damage = 800HP. But you should not forget about normal bats. charging. Hit weapon sp. again to disable shield. Tip: you can't shoot, when shield is up, but you can stil hit primary fire to send plasma clot to the shield and it will burn anyone, who will try to go through it at that time. Controls. Fire: fire projective, shield combo (when shield is up). Alt. Fire: Mount/unmount Weapon special: charge battaries, activate shield (when mounted) Use sights: activate sight. Reload: this weapon doesn't need to be reloaded (like skrith sidearm) I'm sorry for my English, it's not my native one - I'm only studying. !!!Maybe I have forgotten something. Well first of all,Welcome to the forums
This weapon is interesting, but seems a little overpowered.In my opinion it should just have a Rapid Fire and a Semi-Auto Antivehicle Mode.I also like the shield idea,it's very unique and is a nice twist to the Rifle.Though while mounted I don't think the damage should be increased,but increasing the fire rate slightly and reducing the recoil would work well. Also,Don't get frustrated if your threads aren't successful the first day, it takes a little time for people to start noticing and responding to a thread. |

May be setting less damage in antyinfantry mode? And the sniper mode is just like the standart rifle in damage, and has visible track. Wall burning isn't as good as the railgun has and there is no termal vision. Also, IMHO, 2-4 firetypes must spend ammo very fast, especially if you'll use battaries. |
