This weapon could be a great idea for BW, it would use very high speed Armor-piercing bolts with a zooming scope for long range combat, the special function would be High-explosive bolts that can stick to the enemy and then BOOM, something like we have in Gears of War's Torque Bow. It is a bolt action weapon with massive dmg and with only one shot per reload with slow/medium reload time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Manufacturer: Artika's Range Equipment Primary: Armor-Piercing Steel Bolts Secondary: Activate Zooming Scope Special: Switch High-Explosive Bolts Techniques: -- EDIT: ok ok, instead of a zooming scope it could be a laser sight , but come on guys, a futuristic crossbow sounds great ! Also the high explosive bolt it's going to be use in vehicles so you don't need the laser sight |

If you switched to high explosive, then you shouldn't be able to zoom. |

And to justify why you can't zoom, the arrowhead could be much bigger and block your sight for a scope. |

Mmm we need more long range weapons, we only have 2 (3 if you count the battle rifle). Oh, and i forgot this is an alien weapon, so instead of a HE bolt with a common fire explosion, it could be a plasma explosion  and the name of this bolt would be Active Plasma Bolt  (APB ammo)
It's a futuristic crossbow, i prefer to have zooming scope instead of laser sight, also it is a long range weapon. If you want it can contain both but is going to be a little difficult to implement that, i think. http://www.soloarqueria.com/tienda/popu ... p/pID/1955 LOOK AT THIS CROSSBOW, with some little changes it could be perfect

About the zoom. It can be balanced like this: you can use sight, but exploding bolt can be much slower, then normal and fly using the true ballistic trajectory. So, it would be just very hard to fire it at long distance. |

I like the idea of having a crossbow could come in handy and it would be a nice addition to the BW weapons. |
