This is a little varation of the Assault pistol, my favorite side arm. The Primary fire would be a fully automatic rifle shot. Mabye more powerful then the M50 but with more recoil and chaos as well.
Rightclicking would make a melee attack, nothing can make me more happy then crushing someones face with a rifle.
Specail function, could host a small debate here, but I include one of two options.

1. Flash (just like the Pistol
2. Flash Grenade. Like the M50 this has a grenade launcher, but instead of Frags, this launches a Flashbang, giving you alittle bit more breathing space then the Assault pistol.

I love the AM67 as well, and think this is an awesome idea!
I think it would be best if it shot a flash grenade, so it isn't just a longer,faster firing, melee-ing, AM67.
Also, should the color scheme be the same as the AM67,ie,Green and Gray, or could it be a little different like pale green and black?And the bullets dealing a little more damage then the M50, with more recoil, would balance it out quiet nicely IMO.

Only I was thinking on adding a stock to it, adding advanced sites like a weak scope or a laser, either could be attached to its tact rail, giving it an extrended clip (I'd say about 30ish shots), and making its default fire mode auto.

I don't think it should be a full assault rifle though, more like just a carbine.

Well, we could make it start in singleshot or burst fire. But for those with BW mod installed they could switch it to fully automatic for those frantic fire fights.
Scopes would be nice.

1. Ring for opening the grenade slot, (Just because they look freaking sweet on the pistol)
2. Two AM67 Magazines, to load, so giving it 28 shots.
3.Iron sights
4. Barrel
5. Grenade tube.

I think that the AM67 should be based more on the MP7, from which it has obvious origins.
It should have a much smaller bullet and much lower damage, but at least double clip size and autofire rate.

There is no similarity between these 2 weapons. The mp7 fires a bullet smaller than a 22, 4.6x30mm . The AM67 fires a fifty caliber snub nose round. The way they operate is totaly different way.

There is no similarties between these weapons. The mp7 is a Rifle/Submachinegun has a retractable stock, the magazine is loaded into the pistol grip and fires a rifle type cartridge The complete opposite of the am67. The only thing that they share is they both have a picatiny rail on the top.

Thank you Sargent Smash! -salutes- The MP7 has in no way in hell, any influnce on the design. The double magazine clip is to increase reload time, and to give it more balance. Its a big fugging gun. Its fat, and obese, since it fires a big bullet. It's also a bullup.

A third special fire to be considered..
Flare.. fires like a grenade but stays in the air longer.. Does sight damage upon impact and make it hard to see for everyone. (Not as bad as a flash grenade would but it would last longer.)

Daniel, I'm actually coding a new version of the AM67, which uses a tertiary fire of a flashlight from the MRS138. A flare grenade... That would be an interesting weapon to create of my own.... if I figure how to do Weapons Special 2, I could make it a special thrown weapon while using an AM67.

Interresting but why does everyone's (perhaps mine too) ideas be about more powerful weapons than the existing ones? If it does more damage than the M50 I would like it to fire slower too.

I still say just make a carbine for of this. All you need to do is add a stock and extend the barrel. Maybe give it an extended clip call it good. At the price of dual wielding you get better accuracy.

It should be single shot, but for those who have the mod, give them the ability for full auto. But make it as chaotic as the AM67 is. No one really would want to bother with it, so most would stick with single or burst shot. Give it a slow, but chaotic full auto. And it would REQUIRE two hands.

Well, in techinical fashion, Its a carbine. But since its about the size of a M-16, it could be described as a rifle.

The fact it fires pistol ammunistion leans it towards a carbine, but then the ammo is still a fat slug, so -shrug-

Please dont compare a cool gun to the M16, comapre it to...an ak47. The m16 is a piece of GARBAGE, unreliable, no power, Breaks easily, caliber is WAY to small, high manitenance. The AK though reliable as a rock, only thing that coiuld hurt it would be running it over with a tank or cement in the action, Good caliber, lots of power, fairly accurate, very low maintenance a much better rifle that the m16. Back on topic though sorry i just get a little flustered about them m16s.

I'm pretty sure the M-16 is not so fragile and unreliable as you would have us believe. It may have had a terrible reputation in Vietnam, but if I recall correctly the weapon jamming problem was fixed, though it did little to help its reputation.

There were other problems in its Vietnam deployment, with the weapon being toted as "self-cleaning" when it definitely wasn't, lack of instruction and kits for cleaning the weapon, and lack of a chrome lining in the barrel, making it susceptible to corrosion, etc.

And it's ridiculous to say a weapon like that has "no power". Sure, it might not have the stopping power of the AK and its bigger round, but I would still rather not get shot by one.

Kaboodles does bring a small point. I'm not saying the M-16 is a good gun, and I could care less about the damnable thing. If your insulted by my size refrence, I'm sorry, it wa sthe first thing to appear in my mind for a weapon size.

Now get over it.

The m16 hasnt realy been fixed, they gave it a chrome lined reciever and and barrel and told soldiers to keep in clean, sure it helps but the weapon is still a poor design. If a 90lb VC can take 3 shots and make it back to his cave i think the weapon may be underpowered. The weapon is made with such high precision that that is its downfall, if you get a little bit of sand down into the action shes gonna freeze right up, 1 in 5 m16s or m4s jamb in the field and considering that soldiers travel in groups of about 10 that means 2 men out of a firefight beccause of weapons failure. An Ak on the other hand, you can through a handfull of sand into the action and it will run just fine no problem, mine has never jammed on me once.

ANYWAY lets get back ontopic. I want to see this carbine/rifle or whatever you decide to call it become a 3d model, Im very interested in it and think it would be a cool weapon for BW.

Unfountrintly, I don't have a 3d render program. I need to find one, and then learn how to use it. So... uh... -shrug-
