Post subject:  multi-burst missile...

I came up with the idea the other day, and decided to go into more detail with this weapon.
i call it a B-M-U Burst-Missile-Unit.
LAUNCHER:
Sumthing like the g5 ( were i got my idea) cross with a stinger missile launch unit
AMMUNITION:
Multi burst shells. a large shell that upon impact or proximity to a target will explode and more smaller sub-mutions will deploy and disperse and then these S-M's will again explode causing a huge amount of damage with a large damage radius.

ALT FIRE:
switches to the aiming sight, with zoom and a range finder were the distance to deploy the S-M's can be set

SPECIAL:
The special fire for this weapon will be simaller to the main fire but the S-M explosions will contain shrapnel causing even more damage and with a larger area reigning molten steel down on the enemy.


i have made a few photo shop pics ( they are not very good) but some one with sum spare time and better skills could make a better image.

tell me wat u think...(not of the pix cos i know they suck :p ) but i think this would b a great addition to unreal

Not bad, I thought you were going to design a hand grenade but a rocket launcher is awesome. The one we have now is more geared against vehicles, I like how you suited this one to clearing out rooms.

How does the range finder work? Sounds interesting.

Special fire seems like a bit too much.

I take it has two fire optional fire modes: impact and proximity?

Dont worry about your drawing skills, you dont need to be Michealangelo to give is a good idea of what your thinking of. Keep the ideas coming

yea i was origanilly thinking grenade, but iam picturing this as having a huge huge demage radius so i thought having a launching device would be better.
i think weapon would be awesome for CTF a room full of people gaurding the flag (maybe if one of its spec fire modes was a bounceing bomb so it can b shot indoors and bounce around corners) and BA-BOOM take out a room full people all at once then run in and grab there flag then hi tail it outta there b4 they re-spawn..


not yet sure on the range finder maybe the scope system would have a set zoom and range for the device but holding the fire button would change the distance it would travel before detonating...

Yeah i think impact, proximity fire modes would be good but also a timed mode perhaps would b the mode for indoor around corner shooting.
yea spec fire is massive, perhaps this could be the BW replacement for the redeemer.

or intead of having an extreme amount of shranel there was less, but more powerfull?...sumthing like depleted uranium shards.
or since it could be the redeemer replacement a guide function like the redeemers alt fire.
!amazed that would be wicked...

This is a fully automatic weapon? Who said that?

Its not supposed to surpass the G5, just give it a challenge.

The G5 focuses its full power on a single target, this one rather splits up its total firepower over an area. That does not make it a super G5.

Oh and for Ut2004 overkill:

Add mutator = WoRM2K4 Arena plus
Set weapon class = redeemer
check infinite ammo

WoRM is very handy tool for configuring exactly what weapons and items you want in a match, UT2004 should have come with such a mutator by default long ago. I would recommend it.

Infinite redeemers get old quick by the way.

But infinite G5 RPG's are a blast (badaboom-pish)
