UI Mk.3 Anti-Armour Plasma Rifle Backstory: With the discovery that energy weapons were useless agains skrith warriors and the resulting switch back to ballistic weapons, all arms companies suspended their energy weapon development. Uranium Industries (suppliers of DU ammunition for railguns and such) decided to have one final go at producing an energy weapon. The result was the Mk.3. It fires hollow DU ammunition which contains trapped plasma. This allows it to penetrate energy armour. Upon hitting somthing hard, the shell bursts open and the plasma explodes outwards, destablising the shields from the inside. New DU bullets have to be loaded in clips, but the weapon has a built in plasma generator that uses atmospheric gasses. This allowed a second option for the weapon - a plama blast that acts like a short range, short duration flamethrower. While it showed mixed results against the skrith, against armoured Cryons, it became a big killer. Primary: Fires out a single DU plasma round. Secondary: Sets off a plasma blast. Special Function: (Laser sight?) Firemode: Single shot (like the railgun and sniper rifle) Primary bullets travel about the same speed as the skirth weapon shots and also suffer from some drop due to weight. The explosion has a small blast radius and knocks off only about 20-25 health, however if it hits a player directly then 40 armour is lost due to plasma energy and DU fragments. Clip holds 5 rounds with 15 in reserve. Can only fire when the gun holds enough plasma to fill the buulet with. A second to cock between shots due to heavy duty plasma shielding. Seconday fires out the plasma directly. The effect is like the blast from an FP7, only within 45 degrees infront of you and with no lingering fire. Can set people alight, but only likely if they are drenched in petrol from the flamethrower. Warning, this will leave you with a near empty weapon. The level of plasma in the gun is shown on a bar simmilar to thae overheat bar. Primary uses up 5% with each shot. Secondary uses up 75% of the charge. Recharces at a rate of 1% per second, but extra ammo picked up also gives 10%. Obviously cannot recharge when underwater. Secondary only works when there is enough stored plasma. If primary is fired without plasma, then there is only a small amount of damage. |

Finnaly some interresting weapon. I would prefer a bit faster rate of fire like 4 shots/sec so it's not a sniper rifle, but rather a carbine which sacrifices som velocity and rof for extra some damage and splash. |

Its a hollow bullet made from depleted uranium which is filled with plasma. It also has a small explosive to shatter it after impact. |
