Post subject:  Stake Launcher

How about this:
a shot gun which requires reloading after everyshot, however this shotgun has another function; switch the ammo for 1/2 foot stake, this will implant itself (maybe untill the target pulls it out (sprint button)), also this might be able to pin people to walls, if they are close enough to the wall. As I said this function would be slow to reload and would be terrible at long range.

Finnaly an interresting idea. :} However the shotgun part is not needed, there are enough of them already. But a stake/bolt/pierce/impale gun is something I want. I had my own skrithy idea but have no time to try to make it come to life. However just powerful stakes with slow rof would simply be a sniper rifle. :/

I thought about this but I could not think of a second fire mode... Although... how about a stake that implants itself in walls/people and fires out a cluster of shards, this would not be too powerful because if you do not take cover quick enough you will be killed by your own shards!

No! I do not like snipers (don't get me wrong, it is just that there are too many campers for my liking, and bots don't know how to snipe well (close combat sniping!)) but due to the stakes being solid (unlike bullets) they are weighed down and too heavy for long distance

The mutator is called Stakeout, and you can nail people to walls with it (although the physics are pretty wonky, if you aim right you can send people flying for miles as wall-seeking missiles). It's no Painkiller, but it's still pretty fun.

I'm sorry to double post but I'm afraid that this is not what I meant, I meant to litrally pin people to walls no shoot them in the shoulder and have it stick there. No... I mean to litterally throw them bodily across the room. However I did like the pike on strikeout...
Also I meant better physics and a stakelauncher like Blades.

Asking for better physics is like asking for real time shadowing; what we get now is what the engine has to offer, without the engine source no one will be able to improve stuff like physics and graphics appearance.

I'm not sure what mod you downloaded, but my Stakelauncher does exactly that. Also, I just remembered another weapon that can nail people to walls, the Sanguinarius nailgun in Farseer's weapon pack.
