Heres another one this would fill the role of a 3rd sniper as well as anti tank weapon A rifle thats about as tall (with the butt on the ground) as a avarge human, this rifle can't be used without mounting it (screwing it in to the ground or weighing the base down hevily) fireing without this is clubersum do to its weight and the knock back would shread the sholder of killing the user (if your useing god mode or temp invincablty you will be knocked back a good distance) when one of this weapons bullets reachs the target it will expload Primary unmounted: suicide shot Mounterd: fire Seconadry scope SP mount/unmount |

I can't imagine how it would look like, but the mod is missing a real anti-tank weapon. This would be a great first candidate.

Google images for the Barret Light Fifty (M82A1)...probably the closest thing the modern army has to a man portable anti-tank rifle. It also fires a choice of armour piercing, incendiary and explosive rounds

![]() Theirs a personel guided missle launcher in Battlefield 2 which if implimented in BW coulc act as the switchout for the Avril instead of the powerful G5! It could take down a tank in a few hits!! i'm talking about BW tanks! the goliath would proably take 2 or 3 hits before KO! Also it wouldn't be mean't to shoot down raptors or aircraft but a if your good you could hit one! (should i post this idea in a new thread?) |

Railgun is currently The AntiTank Weapon.
But shooting a tiny projectile at lightspeed isn't satisfying enough, I want to see a huge explosion to make the damage done to the vehicle realistic.
Look at it as the gun would be called Heavy G5 RPG or something similar.

Wow, I love how well you back up your statement.
But the RG is a great weapon because it is balanced unlike the sniper which is ridiculously accurate compared to the rest of the arsenal. |

The railgun and sniper rifle are both cool in their own way, and pretty well balanced. The new sniper rifle wouldn't replace either, but rather have its own unique features like splash / shrapnel damage and burst. |

The sniper needs better fine-tuning, it is very strange how there is no recoil nor inaccuracy even when not using the scope. |

theirs recoil, at least i'm sure. On the topic of Snipers I want to have zoom feature on even when i'm jumping around in zero gravity (i like DM-Morphous too much). |

Probably, but waaaay too little of it. This is a sniper, it is supposed to generate quite a bit of recoil plus being inaccurate while you run around. |

I like the sniper the way it is. Afaik it used to have more recoil etc., but that was annoying as hell. |

hm.. yeah.. maybe we'll release a bunch of weapons with no real coding.. eg; bullet weapons which requires no fancy coding.. only default properties work..

That is what the scope is for, to make accurate shots. You aren't supposed to be able to play rambo with a sniper... |

Problem with an anti tank weapon as a sniper rifle is 1) It would be the only sniper rifle anyone uses, as it works on anything, 2) It would be to hard to balance it in game play other then making it inaccurate. 3) Why use a sniper rifle on a tank? You already have the rpg which has zoom capability. That being said, i don't wish to just shoot down an idea, so if i where to implament it, and yes it could look cool, i would do the following. Anti Tank Sniper System. Primary: Would fire a single light cannon bullet with a huge kickback. The shot itself would be slightly inaccurage in comparison of a sniper rifle, and explode dirt on contact, with a light fire explosion on any vehicle. The kickback would knock you back about few feet, so that you would have to line up your shot again, and reload. secondary Fire: 8X Scope, with optical mark. Clip: 1 bullet per reload. Ammo: 35mm Explosive Tank Shells |

You aren't supposed to be able to play rambo with a sniper... If the rifle is accurate in scoped mode, then it should also be accurate in unscoped mode (as long as you're standing still, obviously). Same weapon, same bullets... I'm not sure what exactly the problem is anyway, as in both modes it takes skill to shoot people, especially when they're running around n stuff. The low ammo capacity and rof provide plenty of balance. |

Well, the sniper is the main reason I'm more than 100 kills over the 2nd place on Adept. The sniper is over powered, it is simple to do the math to get that resault; 7 bullets capacity, perfect aim while running and of course very easy to do headshots. It is strange why bots suck with it though... |
