Ok, so I have (what I think is) a pretty good idea for a weapon. It's an assault rifle, admitted theres nothing particularly special about it, it would juts be something nice to have in addition to all the others. I know it seems like there's already enough assault rifles, but hear me out. I like to call it the PAR-1 (Precision Assault Rifle- 1) It is a bullpup rifle that looks somewhat like combination of a G36C and an XM8, it isn't exactly that, that's just to give you an idea of what it looks like until I can get some pictures up here (very soon, probably tomorrow). And the SCAR-1 (Sub-Compact Assault Rifle-1) Is kind of like a bullpup MP5 that fires a 5.56mm round (otherwise known as a .223) like the PAR-1 except the SCAR-1 has a very small barrel length with a vertical foregrip directly beneath the barrel, has an extendable stock, and a nice little reflex site. Both the PAR-1 and SCAR-1 come with detachable suppressors. Like I said, there's already a lot of assault rifles, but hey, look at the M50 and the SAR-12, functionally speaking they're both practically the same, just one has a grenade launcher and the other doesn't. Besides, I think it would look pretty cool in the game. What do ya'll think? (sorry this is so long) |

Your second idea- SCAR-1 - sounds like the Israeli TAVOR assault rifle remake. Its compact, bullpup, and very modifiable. It also fires the 5.56mm rounds. |

Oh and sorry about the immense size of these, I don't have the capability of resizing them without a dramatic loss of detail. |

Another thing, I realize that some of the edges on the isometric representation of the SCAR-1 are sharp and not rounded, I had forgotten to save it after I did the touch-up work... |

One last thing, sorry about the overall quality of these pictures, I lost a lot of detail when I converted them to .gif |

Hehe, sweet stuff. Any special functions for both rifles? |

As for special functions, I'm still still contemplating that, but since I've created the pictures above I've now worked on models with underbarrel grenade launchers, underbarrel shotguns, and various other accessories of the sort. In all honesty I'm having a bitta trouble comin up with ideas for special functions, admittadly these ideas are pretty generic and aren't really all that amazing, but these seem like they'd make a nice addition to the game. |

Looks like a nice little submachine gun, it seems hard to tell if it would be awkward when holding the gun(the way the grip and clip placement are). |

That's the beauty of it, its the size of a submachine gun, but fires an assault rifle round, and the bullpup design allows for a shorter overall weapon length but preserves the length of the barrel, so its stil las accurate as a traditional assault rifle. And although it may not look like it, there's actually more than enough space for hand placement. Follow the bottom line of the oversized triggergaurd and extend it to the front line of the magazine and thats how much space there is. |

Now that I think about it though that would require your forearm to reach around the magaizne, but that doesn't seem to be a problem for the L85A2, of course it's an unnatural feeling at first for people who have been firing traditionally designed weapons their whole lives (which is pretty much most everyone) but it can adapted to and then once the user has adapted, he finds himself with an overall superior weapon. |
