thats a topic for another thread. The SVD is a fine rifle. A high qaulity mass produced snipers rifle. Easily one of the most numerous snipers rifles ever. A good, reliable, and in my opinion, a very handsome rifle. |

Yeah so, still an interesting idea, the R9 seems to me like more of a long to medium range combat rifle and not a long to extreme range snipers rifle. |

I wouldn't say that. Besides, the R9 fires a bigger, and presumably more powerful round. We could use two versions of the R9. A long-ranged sniper variant with with a scope for a short-medium ranged version equipped with rifle grenades. |

What does the R9 fire? The Dragunov fires the 7.62x54Rmm round. Id say dragunov but i think this would have to be sponsored to make it in. |

oh, well thats an interesting caliber. so around 8mm is what i would say. so about half a milimeter larger. Whats the length of the case that the R9 uses? |

I think it would be just a little larger than an 8mm. Maybe an 8.4mm or something. I don't think there's a cartridge length for it written down, but the R9's magazine looks to be about 1cm longer than the SRS900's. So I'd say maybe 60mm? |
