I have a new idea, and it's a normal weapon, well almost M21 Carbine Pistol Primary-Selective 5.56mm fire Alt- Melee Special- Switch between 5.56mm to 7.76mm ammo Story- Hyperion firearms, a new company that takes old weapons and modify them for military use, has taken a M65 carbine AR, and stripped and cutted some parts off to make the M21 carbine pistol, it can fire selective 5.56 mm rounds for range and accuracy, or 7.76mm rounds for power and stoppage. this year's model is light enough to dual wield, but still heavy enough to bash a suckers skull in. Ammo- 30 rounds of either type of ammo, 120 of each type. Firemodes- Full auto, semi auto, burst Death Messages: Primary- SX gave Xan a 5.56mm bath. SX laid Down the law for Xan, "Don't Stand in the way of mah 7.76mm fire" Alt- SX gave Xan a classic Pistol Whip SX Bashed Xan's knee in, then bashed his skull in. That is down right cool looking, not remarkably different from anything we have now and we have a rather high number of sidearms at the moment. But I’ll vote for good looking guns any day. Although full auto might not be the best idea for such a front heavy gun. |

You'll have to change the bolt, barrel, etc or we can have a whole other bolt, barrell designed to fire 7.62mm. Nevertheless this is an awesome idea. And because you said it was heavy enough bash a enemies head in, is there going to be pistol whip function for it?

The same way the M50 can fire two types of ammo, it has two clips, one in the pistol grip and one in front of the trigger. It has two firing chambers and two ejection ports, one on each side of the gun. I thank. |

the m50 has a grenade launcher and a rifled barrel. there are two weapons on that one. The pistol above has ONE barrel, if you try to send the wrong type of ammo through a firearm it is often met with terrible results... AKA death of user. |

The M50 can only shoot 5.56 out of its primary barrel. Unless the player strips the weapon and gives it a new firing system every time he presses special, this gun won't be able to fire both round types. If you really wanted you could give it multiple barrels and and separate firing mechanisms like the OICW. By the way, did you mean 7.62 or 7.76? |

7.76mm basically, it's what SS said, you strip the parts, give it new parts to fire the 7.76mm rounds. |

More power than the former and more accuracy than the latter, but less compared the respective opposite. |

i like this it is sweet, i rekon instead of a melee bash there should be a blade mounted under the barrel, like the handguns off blade 3. |

Whats with the sabot thing, if your gonna use sabots why not just use the ammo that was meant for it. Two different ammo types would have different sized cases, if the case doesnt fit in the chamber it can be dangerous and the gun would not function correctly. Sabot only work in things like shotguns, tank cannons, or any other smooth bore weapon, they are not very efficient in rifled barrels. I just noticed the name as well. "Carbine pistol" A carbine was invented as an in between weapon to a pistol and a rifle, for soldiers that need the firepower but not the wieght or the length of a standard issue rifle. Why not m21 Machine Pistole. This seems like an interesting Idea. Ive seen these in magazines along with the full sized rifle, i havent heard bad things about them, but i havent heard good things Either. Im kinda in the dark with those, mainly because they are civilian weapons, but they LOOK like they could be military. This would be an interesting pistol to see in game. I think it needs to be sponsored. |

The top 'barrel' is not actuallt a barrel, it is part of the gas mechanism |

Eat Uranium beat me to it! Yeah by the looks of it, it uses a piston kinda similar to the ak-47's gas sytem. It doesnt use gasoline... just thought i would say that now to clear ANYTHING up. |

And to clear more up: There's a small hole in the barrel, the pipe on top is connected to the hole. If a bullet passed the hole, the excessive gas will be transported through the pipe and fill a cilinder, which will push the polt/sled backwards, ejecting the shell. The spring pressure will slide the sled back again, loading a new round. |

Thanks for the feedback :d As for a gas powered minigun.... Just.. no.. >_> What might be an interesting idea is a bayonet attached to 2 or 4 of the barrels, so you can grind someone into pieces when the barrels are still spinning
