I find your mod for UT 2004 to work awsome exept the fact that the speed of the machine guns lags the game slightly making it realy hard to aim and there are barley enough rounds per clip to kill. Might i suggest cuting down some of the frames or the rate of fire and raising the rounds per clip. No its not my comp, im runing a 2.16 ghz prosesser with 512 ram and a geforce 6200. If you fell too lazy thats fine just send me the original 'UC' files so i can edit the source code and recompile them. Thank you :) !

Welcome to the forums SGTscorpion. :D

What you are describing doesn't happen to me, you do have a pretty low-medium spec PC so it could explain the lag. 512 Mbs of memory and 2.16 Ghz P4 generate pretty low horsepower for UT2004.

yeah i have a FX 5200 GPU and a 2.8 Ghz CPU and have no problem with what your talking about.

It has to be your CPU, buy a new CPU!

yea, well i dont have the money to upgrade so thats why i asked. You guys should still make a version with lower framed animations for the less wealthy people of UT.....

btw its a hp pavilion cant upgrade the cpu for that.

I suggest not buying brands, overpriced and often limited, plus they put crap hardware to make the price affordable.

Aaaaanyway, I don't think the RS team should lower the quality of the mod, because the standard quality systems are much faster than what you have. :S
But making it optional if possible, would be an idea to consider though.

Yep, but instead of making a seperate mutator, just add it to the config menu of the current Ballistic mutators. :)

...k...im runnin a lappy with 3.6ghz and 1.5gb ram...both of those are big factors in playing ut, 512 ram isnt a lot and definately isnt great for running ut without dropping frames, get some new ram dude, its cheap, ebay it if you have to, but yes it is your comp

i lost a lot of the lag by changing my auido settings to 3d audio insted of hd+3d turns out it was mostly audio lag... altough i am starting to get lag during random parts of the game but this is because of the virus i have... iny body know of iny good anti virus programs .... anti vir sucks

Panda AntiVirus Titanium 2006 gets rid of any spyware, adware, viruses, worms etc. that exist. Best virus program I have ever bought.

But you could be getting lag because your memory and processor are overloaded, what settings are you using?

yeah Scorp put most of your setting to normal than test that out, than tweak around with different settings until you get good stable fps.

u say that the FPS drops nasty whe n using MG's? change settings to abour normal maybe.. turn world detail down to low or so.. see how it works.. :)

Maybe the tracers of the bullets overload his memory, lowering texture or model details should do the trick.

thats not reasonable.. i dont get slowdowns like that on my 1.1ghz PC.. and geforce 4!! and 384 RAM.. just aint right :(

sounds like some weird prob tho.. try world detail..

He could try to force DX7 effects if UE2.5 supports it, that will greatly improve performance but will cost the loss of some graphical goodies.
