Came up with the idea of an ammunition that would not do much damage (5 - 10) when it hit it's target but after a short period of time it would explode having horrible effects. One shot would not kill you after it exploded if you had 100 health but would severely injure you. Medium to short range with a x1 scope like a Acog scope or similar. I have no idea what weapon/new weapon could fire this, Slow reload or something to stop it being to overpowered. Any ideas are welcome. In Sgt Kelly's weapon pack, there is a exploding ammo version of the am67. BTW, how come scope view in BW ut2k4 doesnt look like that screenshot? |

Ok, I think its because it's an Acog scope and not the other type...I think. |

It is a shame that when looking through BW scope weapons you only see a circle with a crosshair on it. Except for the Battle rifle. No offense here abut criticizing

Oh yeah, Sorry I didn't think about that...shame on me, I use air rifles lol so I should have known. I just haven't used one in a little while. |

No offense here abut criticizing Crysis and CoD4 don't use the UT2004 engine. While it might be possible to make scopes like that; it would take much longer to develop, probably wouldn't look good and would be a waste of time since we already have the standard issue scopes. |

The fisheye blur, the intricate reflective transparencies and the dynamic movable scope system are not present in UT2004's engine. Unless you just want it to be a texture, creating this effect would take extra modding of the engine. I don't think UT2004's shader model is even capable of pulling of the effects. I'm sure you could pull this off in the latest Unreal Engine, though. |

The effects of many features can be faked with good texture art, but it can never be fully perfected. Though I'm not sure what you mean by dynamic movable scope system. It sounds like a scripted feature than a render method. |

You've completely lost me here. I know absolutely nothing about programing but I do know create images in The Gimp very well (photo shop like program, it's free too, it's a GNU Image Manipulation Program) Lol. Anyway, were off topic here so lets get back on it! Any ideas? |

Well I didnt understand what you meant by your airgun. I was talking about scopes Back on Topic: If you wantmore exploding ammo guns, the Skrith rifle and sidearm projectiles have splash damage (similar properties of an exploding bullet). Oh, and same goes for the railgun and viper plasma rifle |

Not really quite what I'm looking for. Something like you shoot it, does hardly any damage to the target then explodes inside them causing a lot of damage. Thanks anyway |

The CFX shoots needles that do very little damage,but if enough are inside the enemy you can press alt fire to detonate them,the more inside a person the more powerful the blast. With enough needles the blast can be as powerful as a redeemer.Over time the needles short out so you need to be quick about activating them. |

Well not really, had it a few years back on my pc, I never played it online though because I didn't have internet on it but I uninstalled it forgetting that the Cd had broke. =[ So I got Unreal Anthology a couple of months back. When I upgrade my Pc i'ma get UT3. |

Many types of weapons could fire this type of ammo, The ammo would have to be a low velocity that way its trveling slow enough and doesnt transfer much energy to the target when it hits (normal FMJ will usualy pass clean through targets such as humans) a drawback would be slight inaccuracy, shorter range, and low stopping power. So if you implemented those drawbacks and added some travel time to the bullet as its going to the target i think it would be very balanced. |
