Made by Hitsys On Deviant Art

If we do need another sniper rifle (I think we have enough), I want in a bigger caliber then .50, I propose we make the bullet bigger, such as .700 (yes it exists, pic below) So without further ado, here is...

The 700 Rifle

Company- Enravion

Primary- Fires the .700 bullet, causes MAJOR PAIN to those who are hit. Damage- 90-100

Alt- Mounts the sniper rifle.

Special- Melee

Story- On the eve of the last stand on Juntias, Outworld specialists had stolen an aresnal of weapons from the UTC soliders, including a heavy rifle aptly named the 700 rifle, after the bullet it fires, the dreaded .700 bullet. If it hits anyone, they are either dead, or critically wounded or crippled, leaving them to die from wounds or bleeding out. A special bipod was created for heightened accuracy, allowing perfect shots from a distance. when the going gets rough, Outworld has used it's stock to bash skulls in.

Ammo- 3

Death Messages-

Xan took SX's giant ass bullet to the gut, ow.

SX took Xan's noggin with the 700 rifle.

SX forced Xan into a wheelchair with his associate, Mr. .700.

Xan has a giant hole where his crotch used to be.

My weapon is a .714 x 99mm caliber. Very unique caliber, and is definately larger than a puny .50 cal! :P

How about a .700 cal?

Well... it's by the scale I made the gun actually. It would really be a .714 x 99mm gun.

I don't know about this one.

A .700 NE sniper rifle would be extremely big and heavy, and would probably have an excessive amount of recoil.
Haven't you ever seen this video?

.50 cals are more than enough to kill a guy. Even going .600 is a bit overkill.

Hee, hee, yeah I saw it.

this is more of a Anti Armor weapon moreover a anti infantry, but yet it still works.

It's actually more of an anti-elephant weapon.

.700 Nitro Express is awesome. I've seen the videos years ago, it amazed me. I think a side-effect of this rifle should be the explosion of limbs/bodyparts.

Actually, the main side effect of .700NE would be the crippling costs (£25/$50 per single shot). Added to that, .50 is not only cheaper, but more powerful anyway.

That'd be side effects for the one firing it. Of course, nobody wants his own body parts to explode when firing a weapon.

I also don't think .50 is more powerful in a direct way. If you'd make .700 uranium shells, they would probably be a lot more powerful.

yes, but since currency does not exist in BW, maybe we could do it like the HAMR, if you don't mount it, you get hurt.

maybe when you hit someone with said .700 bullet your body parts explode in a red, gritty mess. :D

Nice ^^ it can be a good alternate weapon if someone prefers to shoot with a .700 nitro express gun instead of a .50 caliber gun or my rifle

If the shells were made of Uranium.... barrel life would be about Oooooh.... 1 round.

.50 cal is too big actually it was never intended to be used on soft skinned targets directly. There are reports of the .50 cutting men in half at 1000 yards. Its a lot of gun.

Thats why the military has been looking into rounds such as the new .408 and the .338 which are very accurate, flat trajectory, hard hitting, and very deep penetrating rounds.

The cartridge in the picture would be hard to shoot out of a snipers weapon as it is a straight case and is not like a normal centerfire rifle cartridge. Straight cased rsunds are pretty much never used in modern rifles. Carbine yes they do get used in those though. Also its soft point, armor piercing capability and penetration go to zero.

Didn't the Geneva Convention say that Big calibered weapons cannot be used against skin targets?

No.You can use what ever as long as it is in their list of things you can and cant use. I think the biggest thing is, it has to be Full Metal Jacket. But you can use the .50 cal on soft skinned targets. They prefer to use it to punch through cover and such.
