Post subject:  Crucible weapons ideas and suggestions.

Post here your suggestions for CW, be it new weapons or features for existing weapons!

I think that both sides (Heaven and Hell) should have their own counterparts.

These are the current categories and the weapons in them.

Heaven / Hell

1. Melee: Hammer
2. Pistol: Raven
3. Shotgun: Basilisk
4. ? : ?
5. Assault Rifles: Reaper
6. Machineguns: Trident
7. Sniper Rifles: Gryphon
8. Projectile explosives: Hydra
9. Grenades/traps: Scarab
0. ?: ?

Please correct me if I'm wrong at the factions' weapons.

I guess that slot 4 will feature SMGs and slot 0 will feature Superweapons or special weapons.


So let me begin.

SUGGESTIONS

First, I will suggest my ideas for the existing weapons.

Hammer of Retribution:


More combos. I don't know what more :P

Raven Sidearm:

Secondary fire should be either use ironsights or a U1 style secondary fire. it will unload the weapons fast but it will feature much recoil. only useful in close-range.

Basilisk Shotgun:

Secondary fire could be something different. or change it so that the weapon don't fire the two shells at the same time but with a small (really small) delay.

We also need shotgun-jump. One of the things that I like in Unreal weapons is that they feature some combos or other uses, like the hammer-jump. BW had the shotgun jump, and it was useful sometimes( mainly when you couldn't double-jump!) so it would be nice to see it.

Reaper AR:

Secondary could be that scope. Maybe it could be a night-vision mode or thermal vision, without zoom(zoom should be exclusive so snipers, I think).

Trident MG:

Secondary should be that ironsight. or maybe a feature that will change the Rate of fire of the gun so you can either fire slower, for less recoil, or faster, for more bullets and death and madness.

Gryphon SR:

I don't know what to suggest here. it's already a good weapon.

Hydra RL:

AHAHAHHA MADNESS! :d
I don't know what to improve this weapon. this one is the pinnacle of awesomeness and destruction!

Scarab Grenade:

hmmm it's already ok.

maybe the explosion effect should have more "boom" and smoke. I think that it could look stronger.


NEW WEAPONS

Melee:

We need a Hell-sided weapon.

Dagger? It will be faster than the Hammer, but will deal less damage. could feature poison or something like that, while the Hammer could Heal team mates.

Axe? a giant axe of death would be nice too.

Sidearm:


We need a Heaven Sidearm.

And we all want a Revolver. A kickass revolver to kill these silly demons. SX will probably want a holy water bullet too. ;)

Shotgun:

we need a Heaven Shotgun.

What about a Break-open, dual barreled shotgun? it deals more damage but you must reload it all the time. maybe something like Captain Xavious/ Sgt Kelly Coach gun. But it can be Sawn-off.

SMG:

Yeah, I know we don't even know if there will be this category, but let's base on BW system this time!

We need SMGs for both sides.

Heaven could use a MP5-style SMG, with toggleable silencer with no tracer effect.

Hell would have a Fity-9 styled weapon, UZI- style with a blade under it.

Assault Rifles:

We need a Heaven Assault Rifle.

Maybe we could use a bullpup weapon. We also need a Grenade launcher on the weapon, so we could have a M50 successor.

Machineguns:

We need a Hell Machinegun.

I don't know what to suggest here, but maybe a One barreled weapon but with a greater caliber.

Sniper Rifle:

We need a Hell Sniper.

what about a scoped Crossbow? while it would have a projectile, it wouldn't have a tracer and maybe could use a poison effect.

Rocket Launcher:

We need a Heaven Rocket Launcher.

Maybe a bazooka or RPG styled weapon, and it's rocked flies really fast, like the SMAT from Sgt Kelly BW weapon pack?

Grenade/Traps:

We need a Hell Grenade or trap.

A cocktail molotov from hell would be nice.

What about a Mine or a FP9A5 style explosive? CW needs some traps too! I miss the good old Mines and FP9A5s.

I would also love a Toxic grenade, since it was my favourite weapon in BW!

Special weapons:

Both sides needs them.

Hell could have a Flamethrower. we need some fire action in CW, and fire in UE3 would be so beautiful...

Heaven could use a lighting gun, like BW LG.

So, suggest some ideas too!

You know it!

New Weapons:

Melee: Hell needs not a dagger, but a scythe, like the one Glos made! Primary slashes while Alt steals the souls from enemies and turns it into health.

Sidearm: I'm for the revolver with Holy Water bullet. Break open too.

Shotgun: A tri-barreled, break-open with ten gauge shotgun shells is what heaven needs.

SMG- Heaven needs a MP5 like SMG while hell needs a Mac-10/59 like weapon or a Tommy Gun, because evil is usually assoicated with the Tommy (look at the mafia).

Assault Rifle- FAMAS like weapon with a grenade launcher.

Heavy Machine gun- Hell needs a totally badass minigun, because it would be awesome! Has to have incendiary bullets too.

Sniper- Hell needs either a bigger ass sniper rifle or a cross-bow that sets enemies on fire.

RL- Heaven needs a six barreled grenade launcher, with plasma/lightning grenades.

Grenades: Hell either needs a poison or Molotov.

Special: Heaven needs a air trike (like my Lightning Satellite weapon) while hell needs a move that spawns a s huge demon hand that crushes everything in it's sight.

oh, A scythe... how could I forget that! :O
that would fit so well with my character!

Yeah, I think that the Revolver should be break-open. this way, you can put the "normal" bullets and the holy water bullet. like the BWBP4 revolver( the LeMat or something like that)

Yeah, if the shotgun is tri-barreled it's better. Heaven likes 3 barreled weapons... God is maniac :P

A Minigun would be good too. It should have deploy function like the XMV, It's good to deploy these and unleash hell.

and here comes Hell slogan:

HELL- WE KNOW HOW TO UNLEASH HELL.

A crossbow that sets people on fire will be fun too.

While I think that a GL would be fun as hell, I think that we need a fast explosive weapon, so we can kill these nasty raptors and cicadas. unless the Hydra gets a tracking funcion like the good old G5, then a GL would be nice to have.

I think that Hell should have a Poison grenade that unleashes the poison cloud by a Skull mouth on the grenade. you know, Hell has style.

I think that your ideas would be nice to superweapons. what if hell spawned a Demon, instead of only it's hand?

Now that I think of it, maybe the flamethrower and Lighting gun could be placed in the Rl category, and rename this category to "Heavy weapons"

When I thought about the Flamethrower, I thought about a large, heavy weapon, which has a dragon on the front. and this dragon throws fire.

maybe the Hell fire combined with the Heaven lighting make black hole, like the Staffs in BW.

The lighting gun could have some golden details.
and here comes Heaven's slogan:
HEAVEN-THANK GOD WE HAVE THESE WEAPONS!

Oh, there's also something we should take a look:
Deployables.

each side should have deployables too!

The spidermine deployable could be replaced with a(deployable) portal. If the portal was placed by Red or Yellow ( considering 4 team in UT3DOM) it will spawn some imps and demons. If the team is Blue or Green, the portal will spawn... what? I don't know what Heaven will use there...

The shield deployable would be team based, and people inside it would be healed.

There's other deployables in UT3, but I don't know what to change in them...


Also, the Berserk powerup should be compatible with the Crucible weapons. last time I used it, the weapons fired in the same rate of fire.

Ah deployables.

Let's see...

Spider mine trap should be replaced with demon summoners, but smaller and hold small miniguns like you see in the darkness.

EMP Mine should be replaced by an electro field, like the EMP Mine but has a larger radius and is red or blue depending on the faction who uses it.

The shield should be the same, but can be broken.

The Slow motion field should be the same, just this time when you shoot it with a lightning bolt, it electrocutes anyone.

Link generator should be replaced with a healing field, but when an opposition enters the field, it slowly poisons him/her.

X-ray field should be replaced with a zapper/slowing sentinel, because that's what it really is.

Truth be told I can't play UT3 on my PC... but that does not stop me from thinking of ideas

1 Heaven: should have an incense burner in the hammer head (a small smoke trail after the character, more damage to hell) or a "Ball and Chain mace" (morning star? I always forgets it's correct name); Hell should have a burning Hammer (do I need to explain?)

2. Hell: raven; leave alone. Heaven: Justicator; just a reskin for the Raven. Both (wow, I'm throwing a whole heap of crazy in here :p): belief pistol; this pistol has runed shells, the damage type depends on the Players alignment (hell=fire/Heaven=poison (a blessed bulllet damages for a short period of time, poison is the best way to simulate this) OR a hand flamer (one shot per clip flamer (you pull the trigger, it keeps flaming till you change the ammo)

3. Hell: Basalisk; leave it alone. Heaven: Colopatiron (is the Angel of Liberation) similar to the basalisk in function, but has silver cased shells. Both: ???

4. Heaven: Liwet Crossbow (Angel of Inventions); this is a multi racked crossbow which can shoot three crossbow bolts at once. Hell: HexBolt (sorry to be like this, but the Hexbolt is (c) of me (I use it in my stories)) the Hexbolt is a crossbow with six limbs (hex, get it?) the Hexbolt fires a flaming bolt of steel (unholy flames). Both: ReaverCrossbow; this is taken straight from van helsing, a rapid fire crossbow
(all crossbows and variants have a scope, but the scope is terrible)

5. Hell: Reaper; leave it alone. Heaven: Smiter's AR; a reskin with silver bullets. Both: ???

6. Heaven: Trident; leave it alone. Hell: DevilClaw Machinegun; similar to the Trident, except it has four barrels (in a square shape) which do not rotate, they fire in turn, each recoiling and returning to normal as the other three barrels fire. Both: ???

7. Heaven: Gryphon; make it fire RPBs. Hell: Devil's Deal; a explosive round version of the Gryphon. Both:???; a combination of the two, RPB and explosive.

8. Hell: Hydra; leave it alone. Heaven: the "Repenter's Last Wish" (or the "Repenter" on it's own... I like both :p) a three barreled Rocket launcher which has either heat or smart rockets... can't decide which... Both: something like the AIMs? (referring to 007 nightfire)

9. Heaven: scarab? (is that just the frag?). Hell: napalm grenades! Both: cluster grenades (need I explain?), Flying grenades (primary throws, secondary makes it drop straight down midflight), RC bomb (imagine a remote controlled car with C4)

0. Heaven: Nathaniel Flamer; this fires holy fire (blue maybe?) for one function attack and shoot fuel as the secondary. Devils Tongue: a flamer for primary, secondary shoots a fireball (napalm grenade that detonates on contact with anything)

0. (again)
Heaven: Ramiel's Blade; when equipped the user has a health limit of 200, regeneration and feathered wings; primary: swing sword, fast and instant kill; secondary shoot lightning from the blade, ammo replenishes itself; HOWEVER, this weapon is like a powerup... it only lasts for 30 seconds
Hell: Grim's Scyth; when equipped the user has a health limit of 200, regeneration and Leathery wings; primary: swing scyth, fast and instant kill; secondary soul steal, a beam of dark blue and purple energy which drains 1 life for every 2 damage dealt to opponent ammo replenishes itself; HOWEVER, this weapon is like a powerup... it only lasts for 30 seconds

0. (again x2) (close combat arena super weapons)
Heaven: Heavens Halberd; primary heavy damage "close combat" (allowed a little distance, don't have to be "toe to toe"); secondary summons an Angel (armed with a sword and shield (smashes shield into people's faces)) as a guardian
Hell: PitDaemon's Whip; a whip (as above, don't have to be "toe to toe" (slightly longer range compared to the above); primary heavy damage "close combat"; secondary summons a Pit Daemon (armed with a whip and sword) as a guardian

Others (don't know where these would go)
1. shotgun flamer: a shotgun with a under slung flamer (limited ammo for flamer) (either, I don't really know)
2. Stake Launcher: fires silver steaks as ammo (heaven)
3. grenade launcher: stun and explosive
4. a sawnoff (but professional looking) (hell)
5. Hells Chakram: a freakin Chakram... maybe flame damage
6. flare gun... useful and damaging
7. effectively a harpoon gun, if fire out the "harpoon" and drags the user closer, when the target and gun connect the targets life is drained into the user
8. *get knocked across the back of the head*
I deserved that...

Ok, So I draw some weapons and edited them in the Computer for some color.

Sorry for my bad drawing skills, by me taking a photo instead of scanning the designs(the Scanner was giving some problems) and my not-so-awesome editing skills.

also, after some problems with Imageshack and Photobucket, I decided to try Google's Picasa. If you have any problems viewing the images, tell me!
(Imageshack and Photobucket were slow as hell, and I'm quite impatient...)

So let's begin.



The Lion Assault Rifle.
A bullpup assault rifle, with a Grenade launcher and some golden details.

Primary Fire: Fires the gun.
Secondary: Launch Grenade.



The Eagle Submachinegun

Yeah, I took the XK5 and added some details... but just to give the idea.

Primary: Fires the gun.
Secondary: removes Silencer.



The Titan Lighting Gun.

Primary Fire: Like BW's LG. But it HITS the target... !mistrust
Low damage and range, but will track enemies and even if you aren't aiming at them the lighting will hit him/her.
The lighting also heal powernodes.
Secondary Fire: Hold to charge a Lighting Beam. however, the charging overheats the gun, even if it's totally charged.

If the gun Overheats, it will automatically stop firing and you have to wait a long time. the cooler button doesn't works when overheated.

Reload button cools the gun.

Nikola Tesla got to heavens and helped the Heaven guys to develop a Lighting gun.



The Minotaur( or Bull, Taurus, Bovine, Cow) Revolver

This one will surely kill your enemies. comes with the Holy water bullet, and a beautiful golden detailing below the barrel!
Your standard revolver. The holy Water bullet do a lot of damage to the Hell soldiers.



the Skunk Grenade (yeah, needs a better name)

A toxic grenade. the poison comes out from the skulls' mouths. This is fun as Hell. (pun intended).




The Manticore Shotgun(maybe we can use another name)

HOLY shit. Tri-barreled break open shotgun.
powerful, but only useful in the hands of the skilled.
The shells do a lot of damage, sufficient to kill someone or leave someone near death. but then you will need to reload, and meanwhile you aren't protected.



The Harvester.

The soul-stealer Scythe. good Harvest, soldier.
While the Hammer improves itself at each level-up, the Scythe, at each Level-up will increase your health limit, since it steals the souls of your victims.



The "Banshee" Flamethrower

One of my favourites, the fire comes from the mouth of the skull, and as it overheats, the eyes glow more and more... until you need to cool it. on the other side, the more overheated, the more damage! using it wisely you will surely get good results. Secondary will throw unignited gas, useful for traps. Reload is used to cool the gun.



[size=7px]Fifty-Nine[/size] Cerberus Machine-pistol

I couldn't create something innovative here. bah.





The Snake Crossbow.

Silent and Deadly. these features make the Snake one of the best weapons out there. comes with a special scope, and flaming bolts.
Primary fire will launch the flaming bolt.
Secondary activates scope.

Think there is an improvement for the shotgun a small frag grenade mode (a shell)
The gryphon SR can be improved with a silencer mode than changes the front barrel
The Hydra can use a grenade mode

How about laser weapons ? nobody seems to like them ...

I think heaven & hell should have had more exotic, supernatural (energy & melee) weapons that do weird and horrible things to people. The bullet & other RL weapons should have been associated with a 3rd, human, faction. So basically 3 factions, 3 weapon sets. I also think the locational damage system should have been an upgrade from BW & Bloody Hell, not a downgrade. Oh well...
