The Mixed Photonic Explosive Model 5600, or MPE-5600, is a high explosive device fueled by two photinic chemicals. When mixed, these two chemicals become highly unstable, with even the ionising effect of mere oxygen being enough to cause combustion.

The device is actually rather simple, consisting of a base and a raised core. The base contains the first chemical, while the raised core contains the second The user places the bomb and then pushes the core into the base via. the attached handle. This opens up the central chamber, filling it with both chemicals simultaneously. This also starts up a timer located within the base. When complete, vents open up on the sides of the device, letting oxygen into the machine and causing the device to explode.

The size of the explosion depends on the time the device has been sitting, and conversely the length of the timer. The device has 3 preset timers: 5, 10 and 15 seconds, with the explosion becoming more vast at each consecutive time, though no matter what time it is set to, it will kill anyone standing next to the device.

Unfortunately, due to budget cuts, the device is not entirely bulletproof. Shooting the base or the core prior to mixture will oxygenate either one of the two chemicals, which will lead to immediate detonation should it be mixed with its better.

Stats:
Slot: Grenade/Explosive
Max. Ammo: 1
Primary Fire: Place device
Secondary Fire: N/A
Fire mode: Change timer (5/10/15)

When placed, you have to press the Use button next to it to activate it. Then, LEG IT. If the bomb is shot prior to activation, when it is activated it will explode immediately with the same size explosion as it would have at 5 seconds.

Sounds like a really awesome idea. :D

So basically.... its a time bomb.

Not original, not all that cool, sounds pretty unfair too because once its planted its going to explode no matter what.

It doesn't seem like a fanstastic idea to me, but i do however like the little vents thing you came up with.

I don't recall us actually having a timebomb for BW,so this would fit in just fine.

Pretty kewl idea, but would it be an actual weapon that is supplied or picked up, or as a standalone bomb pack that could only be used if you picked up a pack on the run??
Seems that its been technically thought out. I might be jumping the gun here, but can any bombs stick to the ceiling?? Would this weapon, if made, be able to without bouncing off walls???

Very interesting idea. I think this weapon is useful for placing it near powercores in onslaught. Currently no superweapon is presented in BW and this is not good >:D .
Can you make some drawing (in Paint, Photoshop etc.) for better to imagine how this device will look. Maybe i will try to model it.

Well, I had an idea, unfortunately I can't exactly translate it to Paint that well. I'll give it a try later, though. As for ceiling-mounting of the bomb, my idea of the model is a little too... big for that.

Scorpion_SK has pretty much nailed it on the head, though with the intended purpose. BW does need a superweapon, and the MPE-5600 is intended to fill that void.
