Don't know if its an old idea, or if its been made, but maybe configuring a sensor bomb/Mine to not detect motion and explode, but when the "Beam" is broken, an electrical field emits a high voltage bang. The result would be: If crossed, the player would be frozen in the field, while the health reduces by any amount. Then, going on their merry way. Or, the player, with not enough health, dies in a fireball of blood and bones. As a player who likes mines so i know if anyone creeps up if i'm spotting for a sniper hit or 5, this would emit a high voltage sound, maybe a sound byte of bacon cooking to add some authenticity To make it fair, there should be no Self Immune from the mine, an added bonus is if you freeze from the voltage and cant move, you can also be killed by anyone just passing through or someone laughing at you before they rip a bullet through your head. Has this been done yet?? |

Not that I know of... but damn that's a good idea. I think it would fit in with BW really well... Like one of the missing puzzle pieces.

It could be used in most game types, and I havent heard of anything like it yet, but I cant mod, I leave that to the professionals!! Don't know how much work would be involved but I would love to see people fry!! The only problem is: What about vehicles?? Could it be used in ONS with vehicles, or would it erupt in conflict? |

Not so much a mine as it is a trap, huh? Nice. |

A trap, well, yeah, thats the plan! Basically for when you need a hand, when the fragging gets tough, fry cook the m.........f.........s!!! Set as trap for CTF, defend a powernode if you just cant make it there in time, surround yourself with them just out of fear!!! There would have to be a limit of how many you could have at once or use at once, and there would have to be another drawback. Like, while placing the trap, any hits to you or the device would zap you. Like the flamethrower, there is an advantage, but only at the right time |

Against vehicles, hmm, maybe have a new firemode? The EMP is the best anti-vehicle weapon for ambushing. lol (if you don't know what an EMP is, it stands for Electro Magnetic Pulse. Which means it kills all power for a time.) |

An EMP can be used for vehicles, and it would disable the vehicle, but can the player inside still get affected if an electrical charge is crossed?? An EMP, and an electrical trap, suppose both types means there wouldn't be any need to stick around!! I've only thought of one use, now there's two!! Have both primary/secondary fire modes timed, maybe even attach it to a vehicle and drive it to the enemy Any sticky bombs/Mines that could be converted, or would this need a full "Build" from scratch?? Since I cant even make up a cool name for it, maybe EFP3 Electrified Fixed Pulse (Well, it is a trap, It will be attached to something!!) The 3 stands for ?? (3 times the atomic electrical energy of 1 standard nuke) |

Yes, there is one weapon that can be used as a base, the "FP9A5" Explosive Device. |

Thanks for the tip, I'm currently learning (As a toddler learning to walk) how to start building these ideas I have, but no way of making! What would you recommend I use, since i could use windows paint!! Thats as much skill as I have at the moment, but am willing to learn and make many mistakes to make 1 right. I read 3d studio max? - was a good program to use, but is it good for a beginner?? Any help would be kewl. |

I don't know anything about that kind of stuff but I'm starting it... My mom does web design and one of the things she uses is called GiMP, it's a picture editor. There's paint shop pro... I'm not sure that's what you're look for, but, it might help. |

I'd go with GIMP too, if you can't afford anything else. GIMP's open-source, but it also tends to crash a fair bit. Save and save often, and you'll be fine. |

Thanks guys, I will find it somewhere and just start from scratch. Even if I don't actually get it to a game, its still kewl to make weapon! When I have a basic pic, I will share!! Any suggestions on design or anything, please add it. Any more ideas on how it could be best used?? Maybe a different form of mechanics about the EMP3 to make it just that bit more unique. |

Well, when you think about it it's very different because it uses more of electricity than gunpowder... lol... and something else for a base, the Claymore mine. It needs to have some added to it but it would work |

Just for fun, add a jacobs ladder wire setup to know its live or something!! hehe f-----n RUN!!! The claymore is a good base, adding mass/size would help fit in with the whole "nuke without the fire" kick that it would create. Others are just as good. The only was is to try......... |

All that's left is building it and customize it.... |
