They are just ideas I want to throw here a thing that sounds to be an original idea, mostly for a first person shooter.

Flares

I thought one thing about flares and heat seeking missiles, I thought about counter measures to be exact, I think using a flare gun, hand throwing flares, flare grenades and such weapons to be able to deviate heat seeking missiles, and even more to return them against the player who thrown the missile.
of course we can't do that with simply one shot, but a couple of well shot flares can do the job

Shields

shields that can protect against certain type of weapons, for example certain shields can only destroy explosives, others only protect against energy weapons, and others against physical projectiles

Destroying projectiles

this isn't new and either original since BW and even our old UT 99 have it, it's the ability to shoot the rockets with a gun

Drones

The drones I'm talking about are flying drones, they can be used with our aim skill or a semi auto targeting, the first is very accurate, and the second needs less skill, but is less accurate and require some time for the drones to acquire the target

Underground missiles

this kind of missile have to be aimed and bury themselves until they are near the target, when they are close they dig and goes to the target, the only mean to avoid these rockets is to jump or dodge

Underground driller

same as missiles except with rocket propelled drillers

I like the shield idea.

And did the drone idea come from Doom 2?
