This is my first map and it not exactly great but hey who cares. Anyway can anyone give me step by step instructions on how to reach the point where I can send this to my friend? When I goto file export and send it, it crashes his unrealed
Heres the pic from unreal ed it shows a little more. (That ugly texture behind the rocks are my fake backdrop)

Somehow reminds me of a Halo map. i think it was called timberland? Not saying you ripped it off at all. I guess its just the rolling hills. |

You don't exprt thye map. You just go to your UT2004 directory, go to the maps folder, then go to your map and right-click. Then go add to archive. Then do what you want to make it what you want (like naming the archive and making it RAR or ZIP). |

UP:I didn't even think it would turn out like an halo map but now that you said something it sorta does look like timberland |

Anyway I officialy made it a CTF map and named it Habitat echo, added a river and waterfall heres the new pics

Have you got sunlight? It seems pretty ambient if you ask me... But it sure does look good for a first map! |

Wow... looks pretty nice, but yeah, the lighting seems a tad bit off. Pretty good for a first map though.

I think so. The static meshes appear dark while the ground appears bright. I'm wondering, did you rebuild the lighting by any chance? It looks like that might be whats needed.

I might not have ill have to do that. But the trees wont cast a shadow by the way I changed the properties to make them a little less clunky to walk around and put a circular blocking volume around the middle |

me two, but my reason has more to do with the place the map depicts being pointless to hold as it is boxed in by hills and mountins. |

Hey its my first map no ones map is perfect the first time
Plus the maps description sorta explains the purpose of the map |
