am a mapper and im need help
I want to do XXL map (ONS-Dria sized), but I have here a problem when im try to do terrain greather that 256 engine is crashing Is there other way to make a big map

ShadowBlade might know what this problem is about. But this sounds like a problem that has nothing to do with UEd, is your computer powerful enough to render what you are trying to do? |

Well OK I thinking that isn`t probrem with computer power theres is my comps specs: Intel Pentium Centrino D with 2,8 GHz MEMORY: DIM 512 ATI RADEON X550 (256 MB(256 video memory)(126 texture mem.) |

when you say greater than 256..how greater? Can you make a 256 size one? then as an experiment, one only slightly larger? |

hey.. are u using terrain.. if u make it bigger than 256, it can get slow or even bomb.. another problem i found, is when use the smoothing tool on the very edge of terrain, it might very well crash.. u could try copyin the terrain from Dria, then flattening it, changing the layers, and so on..

You could try making several 256 sized terrains... we manaed to make a 512x512... Slooow... |
