heres another idea destrutable urban maps for ballistic weapons.when i mean destructable i mean you can blow holes through walls blow up bridges bring building to bear with BW's G5 rpg and other explosive weapons.that would be fun

again the UT2k4 engine is limited in this field, and again UT2k7 will more or less be able to do this kind of thing, so just wait until UT2k7 comes out along with BW2k7. |

I've only seen one mod make a semi-destructable map, the mod was called Exion. |

UglyPants, it is very possible, but also very much work. It'd make things easier if the architecture could be given ragdoll physics... |

Yeah, shooting a building with the G5 and see big chunks of the hit wall fall to the ground with actual physics.

Well thats why so many people are waiting for UT2k7, have you seen the gameplay videos, theirs one of a guy shooting a enemies primary power core with the shock rifle and you see metal pieces that surround the core falling or be flung off. Just wait until UT2k7 for BW to go into phsyics. |

BW isn't going to improve much in quality I think, maybe they may need to update the details though to give them more of an UE3.0 graphics quality. |

The problem with doing big physics enabled chunks falling all over the palce is that the Karma physics engine in it's ut2k4 version does all physics client-side, making it nearly impossible to do anything with physics as part of the game. The exception, of course, is stuf that uses the physics engine built into the U2 engine, like vehicles, bombing run ball, grenades, etc. B ut doing building chunks with that. . .tricky. |
