I'll be willing to do the textures for what I want for a custom hud, and this mutator I uploaded is actually really cool looking as far as implementing new HUDs is concerned. You just do one element of it, seperate classes per element. The problem is, I can't interpret any of the code. What I want is simply a red fade-in from the outside, that starts out with 0% opacity at full health, and 100% opacity at 0 health. It won't completely block your vision, it'd still be transperant even when fully opaque, but it would sort of limit your vision a bit. I think CoD4 had a health display not too unlike this, if you'd like an idea towards what I want. For armour, I'd like a yellow quarter circle originating in the lower left corner where the health normally is. It would simply scale in size when you got more armour. A cap on how large the armour scales would be ideal, to prevent it from taking up too much screen real estate if you happen to be able to pick up more armour than the usual max fr some reason or another. I can whip up these textures easily if someone would like to take me up on this offer. |

The alternate HUD mutator is pretty cool. I don't know how this one would work though, since I think the health bars just use a set of number textures. |

Actually, if you look, there is two versions of each of the UT2003 hud elements. The second one incorperates a graphical bar that displays the info along with the numbers. The bars simply scale down to show the data. Even if I could just have a version of the UT2003 hud that uses just the bars and no numbers, I'd be immensely happy. |
