Post subject:  Who to ask about BWmod models?
Hey guys!

I'm slowly but surely progressing through blender 3D tutorials, and eventually want to do some character modeling. When I do, I was thinking about how I'd want to pose them.

I thought of one particular character I'm going to be modeling in the middle of ripping through bots in demon mode with the dark star, and I know he'd look, as the announcer said, 'wicked sick' next to the dark star.

I saw the license for BWmod BP4, which includes the dark star.

I figure it's better to ask than to just have an unsated curiosity.

I didn't see the specific artist that modeled the dark star credited, so I don't know who to contact to ask about re-use of it in my CGI, I figure someone here knows.

If they happen to be lurking around the forums though, this is how I want to use them:

-In not-for-profit CGI renders and possibly animations, with only the finished product (JPEG, TIFF, Gif, etc) available.

-Modified to add lighting effects (I.E. for the dark star, the gem casting evil red rays, shooting fireballs, etc)

I'm willing to put a logo crediting runestorm next to my logo, and a Weapons by/copyright to: *hyperlink* opposite the link to my website.



Thanks for the awesome mod! I'm inspired by the work you guys did on it!

DarkCarnivour and ShadowBlade are the two who made all the official weapons. If you want to recreate their work, drop them a private message and see what they say.

They'll be easier to contact on Runestorm.com, so I suggest asking them there. Good luck, and be sure to post some of that future artwork here. ;)

i think they will allow you too if you give credit to them when you finish mod and put it on web

He is to ask permission, not just assume that he is allowed to.
