I fgured I should ask before I did anything. but I was wondering if it is allowed to swap BW for our own? Me and my friends play it every night after uni, and I jsut thought that maybe I could chuck in some of my own models. it would be for personal use, and I'd only lend it to my friends so they could use them ![]() here's a couple of the models: ![]() ![]() thanks, btw BW is awesome! |

- Those look awesome man, but how many polygon's are in them? If there is too many, the game could slow down and such... - Also, what 3D modeling software you using? I know in order to make a model for Ut2004, you need an exporter and I do believe there are ActorX exporters out there @ http://udn.epicgames.com/Two/ActorX.html (Make sure it is animated too)- And lastly, you would need to code a weapon into the game and tell it to use that model. good luck! <Qmk2> (Also, you may need to ask ShadowBlade on the official runestorm.com forums about "swaping" models). |

These models seem to be in between UT2004 and UT3 quality. Pretty good bases to work with as well. I'll suggest reducing the sides on the barrels if you want to use these for UT2k4, though. You don't really need to swap models, as you can add them to the BW roster if you just put these into your own packages. However, just ask SB and DC for permission to use their code base for the weapons. |

well I really like the e-v plasma cannon 9000... something about removing your friends in 1 hit is jsut so fun!, im working on another model for something like that Im not sure about these yet, I figured replacing would be easier than making new weapons since I deal more with other scripting programs and games, but I guess I could attempt new weapons. are there any quick tutorials anywhere? I know I need animations for them etc but thats about it ![]() Uh, i tried to download the blender exporter, but the link seems broken (to the file, not to the forum) do you know of any others? |

It'll be quite difficult to replace the default Ballistic Weapon guns, though I think you might be able to work something in with the 'Weapons Tab' and its 'Use Old Model' toggle. The community bonus packs are much easier to work with as most of them are currently in development. I can probably help you out if you want to replace any of the guns from Sergeant Kelly's BWBP. |
