So i finally went round to UV'in some of my guns. I'm doing fine (I think) but I would like to know some tips. Like what Resolution should the pic be. i have it at 4096*4096 at the moment due to not being able to see the wireframe..... |

Hmm.. for UT2004 4096*4096 is way too big. Try bringing it down to 1024*1024. If you wanna show it on the forums, I think 512*512 would be fine. Think you can adjust the size of the wireframe though, in UV Edit mode. I'd also advise inverting the colours in Paint or something like that, too. White Background with Black lines kinda sucks to look at. |

due to the complexity of my Gun. If i use a Texture less than 4096*4096 there are some pixelated areas. |

If its that complex maybe you should put the UV on two different layers? What gun is it, anyways? |
